T13: Perfumes
13 scents
Thirteen Perfumes I've Worn
The only ones on this list I wear anymore at #s 12 and 13 :-)

1. Passion: "...blend of intense florals including jasmine and vanilla"
2. Vanilla Fields: "...a blend of warm, rich vanilla and soft, white jasmine"; reminds me of my friend Gaylen
3. Tresor: "...a blend of lilac and apricot, with lower notes with amber and musk"
4. Tabu: "...a blend of rich rose, orange blossom, jasmine, vetiver, oakmoss, amber and musk"; wore this in high school, my mother HATED it
5. Toujour Moi: "...a blend of sandalwood and vetiver, with a floral touch and musky undertones." I liked it cause it came in a unicorn shaped bottle, and no, that wasn't last year, shut it!)
6. Calvin Klein's Obession: "...a blend of vanilla, amber, orange blossom, oakmoss and other oriental spices"; you know how some scents just flip you back in time? This one does it for me. I can't smell it without thinking of my first love, Michael.
7. Anais Anais: "...a blend of cedar, leather, blooming gardenia, jasmine, and lily of the valley"; ahhhh, memories ;-)
8. Liz Claiborne's Reality: "...a blend of rose, white lily, sage, vanilla, amber, jasmine, carnation and a hint of peach"; reminds me of my friend Betsy very much
9. Lou Lou: "...a blend of rich spices and flowers, with notes of amber"
10. Laguna by Salvador Dali: "a blend of light florals and soft exotic fresh oriental spices"; I found this in a store in Tokyo and fell in love with the scent...AND the bottle!
11. Aqua Di Gio: "...a blend of fresh floral, sweet pea, jasmine"
12. Angel: "a blend of vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli, accompanied by fruity notes of fresh citrus, melons, peaches, and plums"; why this smelled like fresh pine trees the first time I got a whiff of it in a Sephora on the Champs Elysees in Paris is beyond me!
13. Snape: "...my concoction of 50% Angel and 50% Tunisium opium (VERY smoky)"; it's usually what I wear now.

I remember when Anais Anais came out. I get a teeny tiny sample bottle shaped just like the full size one. It was sooo cute! (Though I can't remember what it smelled like now!)

*sniff....SNIFF*......aaaaah-CHOOO!

You really need to try New Romance by Ralph Lauren. That stuff is the best!

Posted by Colleen at November 8, 2006 10:02 PM

So... which one is your most favorite? I like some perfume made by Rocco Barocco, but they didn't make it anymore now :?

Posted by Gabrielle at November 8, 2006 10:57 PM

Ohhhh, Anais brings back such memories. It's been a long time for that one. I like Realities, also. And Ralph, by Ralph Lauren, although it seems a little strong for daytime wear.

I have tried a lot of perfumes...but probably not 13. My favorite is one that I got from a Midevil Festival called Love Potion ~ I still have a wee little bit left. I don't want to use it. :)

Happy Thursday...thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I'm reading a novel about a French perfumer - this has nothing to do with your list - except that the main character in the book creates perfumes. He can identify and mix scents amazingly accurately with virtually no training. It's an interesting, well-written book- and I listed it in my TT this week.

Posted by Natalie at November 8, 2006 11:10 PM

I like Vanilla Fields and Tabu. I would add Le Jardin and Zany (an old Avon scent) to the list.

Posted by Missy at November 8, 2006 11:15 PM

I can almost smell the aroma of some of them.

Great list. Loved CK.

Interesting list of smelly stuff ;) I don't usually wear perfume but I like scented lotion. I like the bath and body works aromatherapy energizing stuff, it's got eucalyptus in it or something like that.

wow, a Snape perfume! i'd like to take a whif of that!

my fave perfume is Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet, the one for men. it smells absolutely awesome, way better than the for women version. i'd like to wear that but guys in school wear that so i'd smell like a guy...?

but i usually wear Cool Water or Miracle.

BTW, love your head banner!

I used to wear Vanilla fields in Junior high!

Posted by Virginia at November 9, 2006 1:55 AM

I have used Vanilla Fields, Tabu, and Obession also! I have also used Hugo, which takes me back to some very special memories of a lost love. I would LUV your "Snape" creation to ensnare my senses! Totally COOL TT ! Mine is up also.

All I can say is "Ahhhh-Choooo!"

Posted by Maribeth at November 9, 2006 6:56 AM

Great list of fragrances! I like Angel too!

Posted by Michelle at November 9, 2006 7:33 AM

you must smell good! I like Obsession, and I have a new thing from sephora called pink sugar - it smells like cotton candy!

Posted by carmen at November 9, 2006 8:08 AM

I don't know one of them. Perfume is like jewerly to me. I don't wear it. It's hard enough to get dressed and match stuff up.

Posted by colleen at November 9, 2006 8:30 AM

Now if only this post was scratch and sniff I would be in heaven!

Posted by Carl V. at November 9, 2006 9:01 AM

I've worn #s 1, 7 and 11.

Cute list!

Happy thursday!

I love that you made your own Snape perfume!

Posted by Domestic Goddess at November 9, 2006 10:30 AM

I wore Tabu when I was younger. I wear Ysatis by Givenchy now.

My Thursday 13 is up.

Posted by Barb at November 9, 2006 10:52 AM

Wow! Wore wore several of those!

Great list, Janet.
Have a happy Thursday!

I sense a scent-related theme going on with T13 today. Now I want to go around my house and find nice stuff to sniff.

Posted by desert rat at November 9, 2006 12:08 PM

I remember Tresor, I loved it. And I adore Obsession.

Posted by Geggie at November 9, 2006 12:57 PM

I'm so looking for a "signature scent" right now! What a great post for me to read today! You've offered some good suggestions.

Posted by Kukka-Maria at November 9, 2006 1:03 PM

What a clever idea for a post and list. Isn't perfume magic...what is really strange is that when I smell someone's perfume and it's one I used to wear, but don't anymore it's amazing how you can be transported back tot he time of that perfume!

I wear Dolce and Gabbana Feminine for the last two years.

I want to try a new one...as always inspired by your list here and may just go perfume shopping on the weekend!

Very relieved that Snape was on the list. *sniff sniff*

I usually wear Fendi (just plain Fendi). My dh bought it for me our first Christmas together, and I've been wearing it ever since.

Except when I wear Snape. ;-)

I've never even heard of some of these and definitely wouldn't have a clue if I smelled them, but #12 sure does sound like it smells goo-ood! :)

Posted by Momma Bee at November 9, 2006 4:29 PM

I can't believe I've only actually worn one of these! Tresor, and that was some time ago. I'm currently into 2 fragrances by Boucheron. Give your Dad a hug for me - we will survive - and have a great weekend!

Posted by DKRaymer at November 9, 2006 10:05 PM

I really like your list.
I think I'll try Vanilla fields now.

Have you visit my TT-list? It's my first...

Greetings from Germany,
Sonny
