A few of my favorite things

Today's entry inspired by Mrs. G!

My Sacred Life
Day 16

still on the vine
1. Tomatoes: Freshly picked from the garden, nothing better! These tomatoes are in my garden right now; the lovely Laura says if I pick them and put them in a paper bag, they'll ripen. We shall see!

beach cake
2. Birthdays! Speaking of Laura, today is her birthday! Go wish her a happy one, please, if you're so inclined.

3. Laughter: This commercial had me laughing so hard! I love to laugh; it seems to me fun is vastly underrated in life.

4. Friends. These particular friends celebrated their 20th year since college graduation last year...and kindly let me tag along :-)

365/57, my dinner
5. Grilled cheese sandwiches: Especially with bacon and tomato...comfort food extraordinaire!

angel wings
6. Angel Perfume by Thierry Mugler. I know it's supposed to be a sweet, foody scent...but on me it smells like Christmas trees as well :-)

7. The ocean. The scent, the sound, the power...it rejuvenates me!

What are some of your favorite things?

I completely love that ad! The first time I saw it, I fell out of my chair giggling, pretty much literally. No one in my house gets why I'm laughing so hard, so I'm glad it's hit some other people the same way!

...mmm, grilled cheese.... {slurp}

Ohhh, I absolutely LOVE that commercial!! When the wolf jumps in and spits out the bird I start laughing so hard, I end up snorting! And when that happens my kids start laughing at both the wolf & me....

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I haven't been eating wheat or cheese for the last three months (sniff! sniff!), so I could really love me up some grilled cheese!!

But the biggest "me too" of your list is the ocean. I can't believe I didn't put that on my list!

I've tried the green tomatoes in the brown paper bag thing, too. Can't remember if it worked.

I love that ad too. Laughter is the only thing that keeps me sane sometimes so I try to incorporate as much of it as I can into my life. :)

p.p.s. i had the most kick a$$ grilled cheese and fried green tomato sandwich during my trip to Lousiana.....how good!

Raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens...oh no, wait, those are some of Julie Andrew's favorite things! You named some of mine, including the ocean, and comfort food, and things that make me laugh.

Grilled cheese with tomato & bacon, mmmm, especially if it's from Friendly's, with the pickle on the side, and followed by a Reeses' Pieces Sundae! Thanks for your comment, too!

How come,
people diversed by the pond and age, do seems to have the same preferences? *cause of our commom climate?

We still have tomatoes - we brought the plants inside in our winterhome, when we moved from our summerparadise. Even the pepper (paprika) is red and ready to be eaten...

yeah yeah - now it's another working week ahead. And another. Then we will have 2 weeks vacation. In Argentina.

I just have to tell you that I LOVE your photos! You have quite the eye. Also, I am fond of Snape, too. I knew all along that he was a good guy.

Grilled Cheese....yum.
Wait---Wait just a minute! Look closely, now....YES! On the right half of the sandwich--RIGHT THERE! Yes! I distinctly see an angel blowing a horn to the upper right corner! Yes! EBay DEMANDS that you put that angelic cheese sandwich up for sale.
Do I hear an opening bid of $375?
Geeez, and I can say I knew you when...
