Thirteen Things I love that begin with the letter Y
1. yako imo man: In Japan, in the late autumn, you start to hear the yako imo man selling his wares. What might he be selling you ask? Roasted weet potatoes! Not like anything we have here...so sweet, so delicious, just one of the many things I miss about Japan.
2. Yankee: I'm a damn yankee and proud of it! I live in New England, the best place on earth! Well...ok, I really love Japan and France and Scotland and Hawaii, but still...And I certainly don't mean that baseball team from NY!
3. Yawning: How many of you yawned when you read that word? You KNOW you did!
4. Yin Yang: I've always loved the symbol for yin yang, it represents the feminine and the masculine, the spiritual and the physical, and the emotional and the rational.
5. You-Know-Who: A nickname spoken instead of a person's name...like for Voldemort and an old boyfriend of mine (but not SFSSDMF!)
6. yellow: I always wanted a yellow kitchen, bright and full of sunshine :-)
7. Yesterday: Hindsight is 20/20, eh?
8. Yippee-ki-yay, Motherf*cker: One of the funniest lines ever in a movie!
9. Yikes!: I love this exclamation, always have. I was friends with this guy, Scott, at Hanscom AFB and that was his license plate: YIKES, lol!
10. Yes: Who doesn't like to hear yes in response to "Can I have ____ or Can we go to _____ or Do I have enough of a downpayment to buy a house, or a thousand other questions!
11. Yum: I say yum to the yaki imo man!
12. Yakota Air Base: Where I was lucky enough to work for almost 2 years; met some great people, some interesting characters and made a lifelong friend or two!
13. Young Frankenstein: One of my FAVORITE movies!
Frau Blucher: I am Frau Blucher. [horses whinny]
and
Dr. Frankenstein: For the experiment to be a success, all of the body parts must be enlarged.
Inga: His veins, his feet, his hands, his organs vould all have to be increased in size.
Dr. Frankenstein: Exactly.
Inga: He vould have an enormous schwanzstucker.
Dr. Frankenstein: That goes without saying.
Inga: Voof.
Igor: He's going to be very popular.

I totally enjoys your lists!! Great job:)
"Y"? Because we like you, of course LOL.
Love number 8. That was definitely one of the greatest lines ever.
After the letter "X", anything---except perhaps "Z"---was going to seem a little anticlimactic. But you do the best alphabet blogs ever! Good job with Y.
Yay!
Damn it, that seemed way too easy!
I really would have expected you to have a bit of trouble actually getting together 13 things starting with Y. But you did it again. I guess I shouldn't have doubted you. LOL
Love the list! Esp. love You-Know-Who hehe :)
Happy TT!
And I KNOW you dont admit that you love the NY Yankees...............but its ok now....you can tell everyone....*wink*

Clever list. I like
You-Know-Who....only a true fan would put that. LOL! Happy TT!
Dang! You always do the neatest TTs. I would never have thought of something so interesting.
Love, love, love the exchange from Young Frankenstein!! Funny thing--I blogged about my favorite spoofs on my TT today, and of course listed YF as one of them. My favorite line: "Roll, roll...roll in ze hay."
Come on by and see if your fave spoof is on my list!
Sounds like a well alliterated poem. I love the less common letters best!
Sweet mystery of life I've finally found you.... I need to watch that again.
Good job....I don't think you will ever by stumped by the alphabet.
I was born in VT and live in Maine. I cannot imagine not living in New England.
Yellow Roses is a good Y word for me! ;)
Great list, and by the way, I'm a damn Yankee too! Born and bred in Chicago! And proud of it!! My native born Texan hubby never lets me forget it either! :)
Happy Thursday!
The Young Frankenstein quote totally made me giggle.
Great list, as always.
HEHE Young Frankenstein made my list too, for a differently completely theme of 13 things at that.
Young Frankenstein is one of our top movies ever!!! Both hubby and I adore it and watch it several times a year.
