Last Thursday at work, I won 3 tickets to go see the Red Sox on Saturday. I gave two to my brother and father...I WAS going to go with them, but 1) I was reading the last Harry Potter book and 2) I was reading the last Harry Potter book!
I asked around to see if any friends wanted just the one ticket ($165 ticket!) and no one did. I did a mass email at work and gave the ticket to the first person who responded.
"Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don't care if I never get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game."

OMG why do I not live closer to Boston??? Do you have any idea how good that game was?!
Wow...They're really $165 a ticket now? In Baltimore, you can still go to the game for under $10 on certain promotions (of course, it IS Baltimore, and even at $10 a ticket, they STILL cannot get more than 15,000 in the stands. :(

I have to wait a little longer for my copy of that last Harry Potter book...my mom bought me a copy, so I get it free...BUT I have to wait for her to get here next week. :) Ah well, if I've made it THIS long I can wait a little longer, right? ;)
