
Never mind the fact that Spring is counted as the whole months of March, April, and May in the Northern Hemisphere that it officially begins on the Vernal Equinox (March 20th or 21st and lasts until the Summer Solstice (June 21st or 22nd in the Northern Hemisphere; spring to me is when the lilacs blossom!

My daughter picked me some for Mother's Day and the whole kitchen smells so nice! I just wish they were in bloom longer!

Lilac bushes are few & far between here in Southwest Virginia, I know of 2 growing wild but would have to drive 15-20 miles to see them & can't use the gas right now :^( thank you for the lovely picture to make me feel better about missing them yet again.
Oh, I just love the smell of lilacs. We don't have any around my neighborhood that I've seen. :(
