Thirteen Things I love that begin with the letter J

1. Jack Sparrow/Johnny Depp: Mmmmm, I love me a man with eyeliner and beads in his hair as well as an actor who can seemingly morph into any role...and who had a decent Boston accent in Blow, no easy thing!

2. Jasmine: One of my favorite scents, especially night blooming jasmine!

3. Jellyfish: They're pretty floating in the water...and damn good in a salad, too!

4. Japan: Maybe I lived there in a past life, cause I felt so comfortable and at home. I still get a pang in my heart when I think about it.

5. Juxtapose: "The universe juxtaposed Jack Sparrow & Janet and this made her oh so happy."

6. June: The beginning of summer, and my birthday month.

7. Jessamyn: I love this name, and if I had a daughter, this would've been her name. I first heard it when I read the book, The Life I Really Lived by Jessamyn West.

8. Jasper: My beautiful cat, Jasper, who was born in 1992 and passed in 2002.


9. JRR Tolkien/JK Rowling: Two of my favorite authors!!!

10. Jambalaya: Yum!!! I love me some jambalaya!

11. Julia Child: Loved her shows, loved her books, loved her outlook on life.

12. Journey: NOT the band; I love to travel, and up until recently, I'd go at a moment's notice. It's a bit harder now, with Dad having Parkinson's.

13. Joyful jubilation: I love these words, I love to feel joyful and jubilant and I love the song, You Bring Me Joy by Anita Baker; if Michael and I had married, this would've been our wedding song.

I love #1---a lot. I love jasmine. We have 6 night blooming jasmine, some star jasmine and a pikake in our yard. They froze this winter but they appear to be coming back.

Jellyfish in salad? Where? How? Never heard of that one!

Ahh, June just 6 weeks away, can't wait for some summer breezes and feeling warm again.

You eat jellyfish?! I always thought they were those nasty things that stung you and made your mom put Adolph's Meat Tenderizer on you.

As for jellyfish, I had a very bad experience with some nasty BIG jellyfish when I was a teen...never got over it...scared of those things!! You can have all the jelly fish you want!! LOL

You can keep the jellyfish. Their stings are awful and they're a real menace here, making it hard to swim in the Med right at the peak of summer. Blech!

This is a fantastic J list! Jasmine is amazing..ahh! I have never seen a "real" jellyfish...I've seen them in aquariums but never in the wild...and I go to the beach often. :( Happy TT!

Awesome list! Except for the jellyfish. I don't think I could eat jellfish. I guess because I see how many of them litter the beach after a bad storm and it just looks so disgusting.
