Strange & Wonderful Weekend

Anneliese and Anni
Anneliese and Anni

Can you believe the weather on Saturday? It hit 70 degrees; I was driving around with the window down...on the 6th of January!!! Very, very strange.

I finally rented a storage unit, climate controlled, and started moving boxes off the porch. Next will be consolidating the things that are left on the porch, then I takle upstairs. When I'm done, I'll have a bit more room and the house will certainly look more presentable.

Sunday, Krista and I went to visit my cousin, or more accurately, her puppies! Aren't they just the cutest things? Four weeks old, and already playing with toys, growling and barking in their tiny voices...so sweet! And there is nothing like the smell of puppy breath! Thanks, MB, I had so much fun :-)

Stopped at a restaurant on the way back, The Common Man. Holy MOG, was the food there good! I had lobster chowder, a salad & some butternut stuffed pasta...and for dessert, Indian Pudding! My favorite! Thanks, K, that was so much fun :-)

When I wasn't packing, moving, playing with puppies or eating, I was reading a book called The Secret History by Donna Tartt. So good, and hard to put down. Probably why I wasn't online much either LOL!

How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?

Lobster chowder sounds delicious! Congrats on being so industrious over the weekend. I needed to be but chose not to. Watched alot of football and read quite a bit.

Love the puppies! Now, speaking of Indian pudding, a friend of mine held a 75th birthday party for the book "The Joy of Cooking" this past weekend. Each of the guests chose a dish and made it and brought it to the party. We had 15 great dishes, and I made the INDIAN PUDDING. Yum! I love it, too.

Lobster chowder? MmmmmMmm. If we ever get up to Boston, you're going to have to email me a list of restaurants to check out!
This weather IS strange! It's been in the 80's here in florida and I don't know anyone who is happy about it.

And the puppy pics are adorable :)

The puppies are adorable!!!

I made a bunch of fabric postcards this weekend, including one that'll be coming your way whenever I can drag my lazy ass to the post office. :-)

Who can turn down a picture of PUPPIES! Not me!

Glad you had a good weekend. I spent mine packing and grouting the tub for any future home buyers. :)

I read that book! It's very engrossing. Of course, I can't remember exactly what happens, so I may need to read it again.

Hello, Michele sent me.

My weekend was chuck full of moving. I was helping a friend move all her stuff into a moving trailer so that it could be shipped across the country to New Jersey where her husband got a great new job. Unfortunately, he had two weeks to start and so he already moved there leaving his wife and 18mo old to finish the packing. It was managed chaos.

Now let's see about your photoblog...
