Denise has presented a challenge to TT'ers this week: "I would like to challenge all Thirteeners to come up with 13 things they like about themselves on the next Thursday 13...September 7. I feel like we, as women, spend so much time scrutinizing ourselves that we sometimes forget the good stuff." Crikey. That's a tough one for me. But...a challenge is a challenge, so here goes:
1. Um...I got mad spellin' skillz
2. I can proofread like no one's business
3. Cooking is fun and enjoyable for me...and thanks to Julia, I make a mean potato salad
4. Speaking my mind comes easily to me...sometimes
5. I'm willing to try new things, things that others may think are freaky weird different; in fact, I embrace the bizarre different!
6. Apparently, I smell damn good, because people are always saying so.
7. My tattoos are something I really like about myself...and want more of (next one will be a phoenix)
8. I will drop anything and everything if a loved one, friend or family, needs me. Anything.
9. Being bored is not something I'm capable of. Being boring, now that's another story!
10. Kids, dogs & cats love me.
11. My vocabulary is pretty good...uh huh, it is!
12. I'm a free spirit
13. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to take a good picture...

I am seriously kicking around the idea of getting a tattoo....I hear they are wicked addictive, for some reason (I really don't know why), but I think I'd be ok with that...Love your T13! You inspired me to (uhhh) feel like a woman and post mine (with the disclaimer that, indeed, I am not a woman). :)

I'm always a little judgmental of people who say that they can't or don't cook/bake. Likewise, I hold people who do enjoy the culinary arts in slightly higher esteem. Not that having my favor is going to improve your life LOL! And you're right, you do smell good ;-)!

I'm never bored either. I remember being bored as a kid sometimes but as an adult there is always something to do...things that are and are not fun. I usually opt for the fun ones.

Love the list, especially about the proofreading. I used to proofread ads, many long years ago. But, I find myself finding mistakes all the time; just am not able to tell the newspapers, magazines, etc. LOL!

Yes, the Johnny Depp graphic is a nice added touch....loved your list today. About the tats - I appreciate what you said - I'd love to get one, but at my age (55) some people might think I'm nuts. I really like them, though... I was a tech writer before I retired, so I can appreciate the proofreading comment. After all, everyone knows most women are far superior to men in the DETAILS! LOL..

I will attest to #8, #12, #13 for sure and all the others are probably dead on as well! I had zero creative juioce in me this week every TT I came up with was BORING so I am skipping this week!

I'm with ya on the free spirit! I think I'm gonna get a small tatoo sometime and not tell anybody until I get it. I had a nose ring one time, but it got infected so I had to let it close up.

Great shot Janet, of the leaf. Hmmm, even though I have a maple in my yard...I only get yellow leaves in the fall. :0/ But our Aspen are phenomenal. I hope to get some pics this year that will knock some socks off.
