Here's last Wednesday's picture:

oops! I accidently deleted it from my flickr! Sorry!
This is what it was cropped from, tho:
Michele said: "Barnacles!" and she was right, along with most of the rest of you! Although...more than a few of you either have very overactive imaginations or dropped one too many hits of acid thought they were some type of alien or somesuch:
It looks like little beaked aliens hatching
its an invasion of body snatchers
Those are beaks of some sort of weird alien creatures as they hatch. I know I got this one right. I've seen these before on Labyrinth or Dark Crystal or in my neighbors back yard or somewhere, I'm sure of it!
creatures being hatched in a star wars movie...
I must confess I was a bit disapponted that with such a picture none of you commented in pirate-speak...sigh...
As for this week...

what is it?
Comments
somehow... the front part looks like a bird's leg to me... though i might be completely wrong :)
I can only come up with shark, which would make you very brave indeed.
Arrrr it looks to me like a fin of a sea creature missy!!! Arrrr!
As Spongebob would say, "Oh, Barnacles!"
And yet my first instinct is...barnacles...ya, sure. Sounds like a conspiracy cover up to me. Not aliens, eh? m'kay.
I hope after snapping this week's picture you had the courtesy to help push this beached whale back into the ocean. Poor thing. Wonder if the alies put it there.
Oh, Tartar Sauce! I meant 'aliens' not 'alies'
Okay I think it looks like a dragon fly tail
The purple patch in the picture is throwing me off. Maybe it's part of a shoe? I so suck at this.
And matey, barnacles? I wouldn't know a barnacle from a Dizzle ;)
I think they are flip flops stacked on top of each other....
what the hell do I know? Im in beach mode....everything looks like flip flops to me right now
Looks like...part of a shoe (perhaps a flip-flop, as Laura said)...or perhaps part of a bag.
I can see grass on the back, I think Laura's right... it a flip flop close-up.
aye matey, me knows, me knows
hi from michele's.
Maybe a turtle in the grass. I'll eat my flip flop if that what it is! LOL
I'm always too late to be first with my guess, but I'll say it anyway - I think it's part of a flip-flop in the grass.
Sting Ray?
I think it is a snake.
i have no clue, i just wanted to say hi! so....hi!
Looks like a shark fin lying on the grass. Or near the grass. Since hub once brought home a bonafide shark and dropped it on the grass before cleaning it, I'd say my answer is entirely plausible.
or not. ?
I agree with A flip flop on the grass, although I needed to read what everyone said before I could see what it could be. The purple bit is the place where the 3 pieces join for the toes to go around.
