Sippin' on a rum & coke (new dark rum from Captain Morgan called Tattoo), cooking up some meatballs for an hors d'oeuvre tomorrow at MB's and debating with myself about going to return the presents I bought for Mom for Christmas. I dropped off 5 bags of clothing at Goodwill today, there were some unused purses and brand new shoes in there as well, hopefully they can use those things and not throw them out as the clerk at Zoot's Dry Cleaners said they might. I also have a bag of teddy bears...anyone want some teddy bears?
I woke up with a wicked headache this morning, don't you hate when that happens? I can't get rid of it, and the child that whined non-stop at Crackerbarrel didn't much help. Note to parents: when your child is whining that much it kinda ruins it for those sitting close by. Just thought you might like to know. Or not.
Wolf cut his leg when we went out for a walk today...we were running, me on the asphalt, him on the curb, and he slid off ... must've skinned the inside of his leg. Didn't seem to bother him, which is VERY good, cause shibas can obsess on things like that...i.e., lick it raw.
The Christmas cards are still coming in...got two cute picture cards from my friends Betsy of her 3 girls and from Diane, of her 2 girls:
Yesterday I got a very interesting card from my friend Masayo in Japan:
Tonight I think I'll try to relax and watch my Christmas present from Gina. It's a strange movie, but one of my favorites...cause I'm strange, you know ;-)
Finally, for MaryEllen...a picture of my Christmas tree this year:

The tree looks beautiful! A good idea for the stuffed animals may be donating them to a church. Many churches will hold a stuffed animals mass and then donate them to a Children's Hospital. Just a thought... Hugs!
I can hardly wait for tomorrow! It's been many years since we got together on New Years! I'm so happy you are coming up!
we were out to dinner tonight sitting next to a screaming child who had EVERY waiter running for cover! She was ALL over the place and the poor wait staff was trying to balance food while she dodging her! BRAT!
Wanting to go smack that brat child.. that probably isn't permitted right?
I saw the new HP--awesome! Where was Snape most of it? But it was fantastic!
I was never fond of blue lights until I saw this tree! It's BEAUTIFUL!!! Happy New Year Ms. Snape :)
CrackerBarrell is one of the guilty pleasures I acquired when we moved to TX...rum is something I'm craving...the grocery stores here sell beer and wine, but not hard liquor, and in a year, I haven't managed to find a liquor store nearby.
Great looking christmas tree. I like the blue lights.
Hoping the headache has long since passed.
Interesting stamps on that one envelope. The Christmas tree looks great...I'm sure it was unintentional but it looks very patriotic with the red, white and blue.
what great xmas cards! And that tree! That's a great picture. Glad that wolfie isn't obsessing over his cut leg! :) happy new year!
I like your tree, cool colors.
Wolfie sends a sympathetic lick to Wolf.
the tree looks really nice, i love the blue lights!!!
Love the tree, I've done mine in blue & white lights many times :) I think Tattoo is my favorite new booze find of 2005, although it makes me sad when we have it, since the 1st time we had it was with our friend who's in Iraq when he was home on leave.
The teddy bears - maybe a women's shelter would like them?
Beautiful tree. We can discuss it at length on TUESDAY!!!!
See now I like you more and more everytime I read here....We have the whole "Captain & Diet Soda" thang going on! Cool beans!
As for screaming kids in public....2 words "Duck Tape" good for the mouth AND keeping them in their damn seats!
Whose dry cleaners? :)
Tell wolfie I hope he feels better!
