Did you miss me this weekend?
Friday, I went to my first ever book club meeting; great snacks and conversation (the things you learn when listening to a bunch of social workers!) and I got a TON of stuff from Megan to review for AGMS...not a hard assignment as most of it is either scented lotions or oils and candy. Poor me, eh?
Saturday, I gave Wolf a nice long guilt-induced walk and then headed up to Vermont to visit my friend Maureen. She had a golf tournament to attend, so I let myself in the house and hung with Rumor (her dog), Emma (her brother's dog) and the cats, Chloe and Wheels. Great fun was had by all!
Mo, her brother & SIL were starving when they got back so we went off for dinner, a delicious Italian place (I had leftover spaghetti for a late night dinner AND lunch the next day LOL). Mo took me to downtown Burlington later that night where we strolled and took pictures. We capped the night off with POTC 2. Ahhhh, life is good.
Sunday, I awoke to the smell of coffee and maple sausage...heavenly! We had a quick breakfast and went to meet a friend of hers for a hike in the woods. We kind of got lost while hiking and it turned into a 4 hour trek, some of it up BIG hills (this IS Vermont, after all). Thanks to my GPS navigator, we found our way out.
We dropped Rumor off at home and headed to the Magic Hat Brewery, where I got an awesome pint glass and a 12 pack of Halloween beer :-)
Then we had a brunch of boxty (and Guinness for me) at an Irish bar called Ri Ra. Came home, packed and headed home...where I collapsed in bed soon after I arrived, after picking a tick off Wolf (never on Max...I think Wolf has sweet blood).
I'm still tired! How was your eekend?

Mmmmm... maple sausage.
::drool::
And I am loving all your Autumn photos. They take the edge off missing it at least. =)
Love all the fall colors...this is my favorite time of year.
mmmmm.....we had maple sausage too this weekend!!!
Glad you had a nice time!
Sounds like you had a great weekend :) -- mine was filled with "those" parties -- you know the ones -- Pampered Chef etc....But still mostly quiet and relaxing -- just like I like 'em
Dare I ask what Halloween beer is?
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Ours was busy with the kids, and the dogs and trying to learn new recipes.
omg, you actually ate your take home box? I do believe that's a first my dear.
omgomgomgom Boxty??? where what how. I need one.
Those are awesome pics, girl! Sounds like a heavenly weekend. I love waking up to the smell of coffee.
I do not love Guinness. I just can't get into it for some reason. How was the Halloween beer?
Sounds like a great weekend. I had to laugh at this "Thanks to my GPS navigator, we found our way out." Talk about technology!
I was in Vermont, too. Around Burlington. The foliage was not too bright. Oh, well. It was fun anyway.
That sounds like fun. We have a Ri-Ra's here in Portland.
Now go take a nap!
Okay, so you used the gps to find your way out. Begs the question - where was the gps when you got lost??? :)
Sounds like a good weekend, Mo is such a fun warm person from the time I spent with you guys, it seems like it would be hard not to have fun with her!
Pics are great to!
Sounds like you had a pretty good weekend! Love the pics, especially the sunshine on the yellow leaves! :)
The pumpkin patch is open down here now. We're gonna go this week ~ hopefully! The leaves are awesome! :dreamy:
Hi Janet. Dropped in from Michele's (congrats on being #1, btw) to let you know how much I love these images. You have a great way of capturing your world in photos and words.
