Manic Monday

f you'd like to play, Lisa hosts Manic Monday!

If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be and why?

I have always wished my parents had pushed me more, education wise. I'm sure it's tough when both parents are working for one or the other to sit down and go over things, but... Plus I was a stubborn kid (not much has changed), so I don't know that it would've done any good.

Do you think that the world will be a better or a worse place 100 years from now?

Oh, it's so hard to say! Because so many people don't believe or just don't care or are lazy...I'm sure that from a global warming standpoint, the world will be worse.

At the beginning of a relationship, do you trust your new partner unless there is something specific to make you do otherwise, or do you withhold your trust until he/she has earned it?

I'd love to be able to say I trust...but it'd be a lie. I don't know that I'd ever really trust someone...maybe that explains why I'm single :-)

Thanks, Lisa!

I have the same wish regarding education. My mom was single and worked full time so I know I was lucky to get what I got. By the time she got home from work, she didn't have much more to give.

1. I wouldnt change my upbringing at all. I WOULD have probably chosen a different sister though - well maybe not a different one but just one not so crazy. Oh and maybe a little less "Italian guilt".

2. I think in some aspects "life" was easier 100 years ago in respect to how simple things were. We are out of control these days, with money, with the environment, with politics, with healthcare problems, with power...we are a mess.

3. New relationship or not, I trust no one 100% EVER

I'm hoping that we figure out what to do about Global Warming. It's a must!

It is so SO hard to trust someone with yourself. After being burned so badly in the past, I'm not sure if I ever trust fully and that makes a relationship hard, but not impossible. :-)

Oh, and I forgot to say thanks for playing!

I'll play along

I would change the fact that my parents still treat me like a kid.

I think the world is going to be a lot worse of a place climate wise. There are just too many people, not enough resources and our style of living is just too extravagant. Hopefully I'm wrong though...

I probably hold trust, but I try to look for little signs here and there that the person is trustworthy, so I can start to trust them.
