Thirteen Things I love that begin with the letter Z
Would you look at this! I fulfilled a challenge to myself, and worked my way thru the alphabet, from A to Z in the Thursday Thirteens! How many of you noticed? How many of you are trying this yourselves? Good luck!
1. Zephyr: I had zephyr gnocchi last weekend, i.e., airy and light. And oooh my was it delicious!
2. Zeus: The God of thunder! Do you ever picture him "up there" hurling down lighting bolts? ;-)
3. Zeppelin: My favorite band, took me more than 35 years to appreciate them!
4. Zig-Zag: That's usually how I walk, zigging here, zagging there. I wasn't born under the sign of Cancer the Crab for nothing! We won't talk about the other definition of zig-zags, will we, Megan the Elder?
5. Zodiac: Speaking of zodiac signs, I've always had more than a passing interest in this. My grandmother had an old, thick book that she could chart horoscopes with. It's around here somewhere. I always thought it was pretty funny that for a water sign I had so many fire planets! Steamy!
6. Zinnias: Aren't they such a pretty flower? All sorts of colors, what's not to like!
7. Zinfandel wine: Before I acquired a taste for red wine, I liked white zin...LOL!
9. Zoot: One of the bloggers I've read since I started blogging, she shares my love of Harry Potter and she's got the wicked coolest curly hair!
10. Zinger: "A witty, often caustic remark." or "A sudden shock, revelation, or turn of events."; I've more than a passing familiarity with both!
11. Zip Cars: A great idea for city dwellers, it's a car sharing service where you can use a car by the hour or day without the hassles of owning or renting a car.
12. Zombies: One of my favorite scary movie creatures! Have you ever seen Shawn of the Dead? Freakin' hysterical, but still a bit scary!
13. Zappa: Frank and MoonUnit, in particular, always intrigued me. One of my fav Frank Zappa songs is Montana: I might be movin' to Montana soon Just to raise me up a crop of Dental Floss Raisin' it up Waxen it down In a little white box I can sell uptown By myself I wouldn't Have no boss, But I'd be raisin' my lonely Dental Floss and who can forget his song, Valley Girl, featuring his daughter, Moon, talking in Valleyspeak

Congrats on reaching Z! Many, many years ago I drank zin too. Ack!
I had a red zin that wasn't so bad not too long ago, but still.
Now, that's talent! Thinking of Z words that describe you!
I started listing 13 things about my family. This weeks it's my dad's turn. :)
Mine are up - up to R this week. Don't know what I'll do when the alphabet's done and I have to think up themes for myself. :)
#3 - yeah!
I'm so proud of you! All the way to Z. Amazing.
Zig Zag? I have no idea what you're talking about... ;)
Congratulations on making it through the alphabet. Have a great TT. :)
Red Zin? Terrific idea. I think I'll go get a glass.

RE: #3 -- when I was 15, I wanted to (one day) marry Robert Plant.

Great list, as always! Congrats on making it all the way through the alphabet. I might have to give it a try if/when I run out of other TT ideas.
And I used to walk somewhat zig-zaggy, but thankfully my dog Willow is a big help with that problem now. :-)
Well done on getting through to Z!
Now this makes me curious what are zephyr gnocchis ? Never heard about it and my husband is Italian, lol !
I'm impressed you made it through the alphabet. So what are you doing next?
Zeus, Zinfandel and Zingers...I do love reading my Greek mythology with a glass of wine and an occasional cupcake!
Congratulations on an outstanding job done with the alphabet!
Congrats on reaching Z!
I love the letter, Zappa, and all Z sounds.
One of my friends has a dog named Zeus.
It's been fun getting to know you through the ABC's of Janet!
im not trying it....I live vicariously thru yours!
The Zephyr Song......one of my favorite songs by the Chili Peppers!
You made it, congrats!
I'll add Zimbabwe, just because it's so much fun to say :).
I love Zappa too! Oh, and you're right about zin. It's not really wine, is it?
What a cool idea for TT! You must feel a great sense of accomplishment making it all the way through the alphabet....Thanks for visiting my site!
YEAH! You did it, nice job!
Congrats on making it to Z! Great list of Z items too. Happy 13 and thanks for visiting my 13 80's trivia list.
A Zesty finale! Z was easier than I thought it would be. What's next? Numbers? You'd have to go on forever.
I cringed a little at John's pink outfit too. I think I recall the period and I WAS concerned that he was going old Elvis!I wonder if Yoko picked it out? Was he playing for the Queen?
Congratulations on making it all the way to Z!! You were my inspiration to start my own alhabet list... I've gotten all the way to B. :)
Shawn of the Dead is far too funny and it's makers are far too talented and Hot Fuzz proved it wasn't a one off either.
what a clever idea! congratulations on fulfilling your personal challenge. :)
An excellent list for the letter z! I love the word zephyr!
Zounds you did it! Very creative and always fun to read.
You did a great job on the z's, Janet!
Michele sent me to see it.
Wow. Impressive. My interpretation of Zephyr would be different, I think.
And you made it to Z. What's next? Do you start over? Do it in a foreign language?
Can't wait to find out.
Man - you did that whole list and didn't even use the default Z-word "zebra" - I'm impressed. ;)
