What is it Wednesday #67

First of all...did you notice my new header? Snape is back, looking a bit darker and a tad worn, as is fitting for the last book, which will, of course, prove his innocence! Thanks to Megan for a fantastic job on WICKED short notice!!!

Here's last Wednesday's picture:

whatisit

And this is what it was cropped from:

IMG_0310

See! It WAS a submarine...albeit one on land!

My cousin, MB, got it right: "I think it looks like the propeller from a submarine or something. This is because she spent MANY years watching submarine races!

As always, thanks for playing! By the way, all photos used in What Is It Wednesday are marked as "private" in my flickr account...that's so no one can view the picture at a bigger size to get a better look!

The commenting problems are over; my lovely and talented designer fixed it!

So this week...

a cactus.

And my sister and friend asked me what you would do should the unthinkable happen, and Shape prove to be evil. I'm not quite sure how I got delegated to ask you, but there you have it.

Ah, yes.

A sticky wicket.

Of the cactus variety,
from the looks of it.

Who'd a thunk it?

I love the header too --- I think that you are correct that Snape will prove to be innocent, but also I suspect that he will be one of the major characters to die....
Perhaps.
Michele usually sends me, but today she just gave me directions.

Spine (is that what it's called?) on a cactus.

Cactus.

Or an alien landscape.

But those can be difficult to capture on film :)

Yay for the new Snape header. I'm using a similar image as the wallpaper on my laptop just now. :)

It has to be a succulent of some sort. But I can't work out if the white bits are snow or earmuffs.

Posted by Julie at July 18, 2007 7:27 PM

Late as always but I vote cactus.

Posted by Michelle at July 18, 2007 7:53 PM

For real a Cactus.
My other answer is that it is a "Spear Doggie"! These tiny creatures have recently arrived having attached themselves as eggs to some space dust that was unknowingly brought back from a space station on a shuttle. They have recently hatched much to the amazement of NASA.
They are finding that they are great pets, are very affectionate as long as you keep their little spears neatly trimmed. Glad you are the proud owner of one. When yours has Puppies I'll take one.
