Here's last Wednesday's picture:

This is the shot it was cropped from:
Lots of you got it right last week! My cousin, the dackel princess was first: "I think it is a roof."; however, Robin was the first to get it completely right: "I'm going with turret and roof :-)".
Lisa said: "...I wanted to say it was the roof to Snape's summer get away home..." which made us (me) think we should write a story about said home :-)
Carmen cracked me up: "Clearly it's a picture of squares.". Yup! It is that!
As always, thanks for playing!

It is either a pinecone that hasn't opened or a basket...I gonna go with pinecone!
It looks a lot like a pine cone. However, it could be one of those woven Chinese handcuffs we used to get when we were kids. Well, at least I did. Dominatrix in training, don't you know? ;-)
darn it :)- everyone took my answer: pinecone
Absolutely a pine cone!
I think she's going easy on us after the whole "muck under the bridge" episode ;-).
It's either a pinecone or a leather braided whip. You've got one of those right?
I gotta agree that it's a pinecone....the other possibility is a leather belt, but I'm sure its a pinecone:)
Leather braided whip...darn, I just came back from the supermarket but they had sold out. If you've got one, I want it!
a riding crop? Studded condom?
Or a ceramic corn on the cob - LOL......
It is a carved piece of wood - a cane perhaps that is carved to look like a pinecone.
I'm hoping it's a pinecone and not the scales on a snake. Because that picture would be WAY too close.
close up of how winter left my skin
aw, did someone braid your hair for you? then i'd say someone needs to use some conditioner...
At first I thought scales. But now that everyone has said a pine cone, I can see that.
Looks like fish scales on a copper fish!
Looks to be a pile of rabbit droppings from a very fastidious bunny.
Well hell. I was going to say pine cone, but since 40-gazillion other people have already said it, I'll say dragon scales. Hmph.
Pinecone?
I'm going to say it is a pattern on a ceramic vase or canister.
Snake skin!
It looks all glossy, like an unopened pinecone, but something seems weird about the edges somehow. But I'm with Carmen - please tell me that it's NOT a snakeskin! That'd be up too close and personal for me. ;)
or a braided pocketbook handle?
Pine cone, but it'd be so much better if it were an artisans rendering of Cleopatra's asp...
