What Is It Wednesday #53

Here's last Wednesday's picture:

what is it

This is the shot it was cropped from:

what is it

Doesn't really solve the mystery of what it is, does it? That's water (a pond) with trees reflected in it in the upper left...and lower right is a stone bridge, under which water...but not the mystery thing...flows...I call it "ick"!

I think Carl was closest this week, he said: That's a bad case of soap scum you have there. Might want to pull out the heavy duty cleaner for that! Even though he was being sarcastic, I think it might be some kind of pond scum thing...or the blob!!!

Or maybe Darlene and Dyane were closest, guessing it was a mushroom of some sort...it sure does look fungal!

Seeing as how last week was so tough, I'm making this one easy for you! As always, thanks for playing!

So this week...

Wow, last week's was hard! This one looks like part of a roast chicken.

This is the chicken you posted when you posted a recipe of a wonderful chicken on here :) YAY I actually knew one (at least I hope I did!!!)

Ewww that's really nasty.

It looks like the chicken you made the other week. :)

Yep, it sure looks like a wingtip on a roast chicken, with little bits of rosemary and other dried herbs on a golden browned chicken skin ... and those look like the caverns left by plucking out feathers, too!

Watch it be something entirely different.

That was pond scum???

I'm not sure I should agree that this week's looks like roast chicken with a bit of wing showing, after my dismal showing last week LOL.

mmmmmmmmm......tastes JUST like chicken!

Hey, I just made one of those Monday night. I stuff mine with apples and garlic too, but the kosher salt on top is my son's favorite part of all.

Posted by Lisa at April 11, 2007 7:24 AM

This probably, truly, really is chicken, but I'll say pizza just to be contrarian. :-)

Sea salt on chicken and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles blah blah blah.

Posted by ME at April 11, 2007 8:16 AM

turkey. chicken!!!

Posted by megan at April 11, 2007 8:20 AM

wait that's that SALTY chickum!

Posted by megan at April 11, 2007 8:24 AM

I'm sorry, I thought you said it was supposed to be easy. liar. ;) I have no idea.

Posted by carmen at April 11, 2007 8:52 AM

Looks like some sea salt. :-)

Posted by Sword Girl at April 11, 2007 10:44 AM

Well, I see salt, herbs & a wing tip. so I'm gonna say its roasted fowl of some sort.

Posted by Dyane at April 11, 2007 11:02 AM

Chick, Chick, Chicken! NO wait..... Flip Flops that you wore as you walked through a salt mine! LOL!

Posted by Mel at April 11, 2007 11:02 AM

I knew I should have gotten up earlier this week to guess. Others have said it already - it is that delicious looking turkey you cooked last week. Look at the seasonings!

Last week's was a killer!

Posted by Michelle at April 11, 2007 12:11 PM

i could be boring like others and say seasonings on a chicken... but i have the honest-to-goddess correct answer...

it's the inside of a dragons mouth, around the gumline. that little pointy thing that others have mistakenly called a chicken wing is the tip of his scaly crusty little tongue.

Posted by monique at April 11, 2007 12:28 PM

Can't believe I ruined my perfect, sarcastically-wrong record. This, I wager, is a maggot-infested, gangrenous mouth...that looks to be a bit of tongue on the right.

Posted by Carl V. at April 11, 2007 3:40 PM

yeah that's it, the salty baked chicken!

Posted by Maribeth at April 11, 2007 6:43 PM

ooh, is that chicken?

...can I have some? :)

Posted by rampant bicycle at April 11, 2007 9:09 PM

My first guess was lasagna, then I saw the thing poking out. Then I remembered your chicken "savory" picture. :)

Posted by Sword Girl at April 12, 2007 11:03 AM

No clue, but does it come with fries and a drink? Can I super size it?
