Cherry blossoms

The cherry blossoms hit their peak last week in DC...but I still found a few lingering blossoms to shoot! More about the weekend to come, I just wanted to share this hard earned picture :-)

Pretty! We got a cold snap, and it was freezing or below every night for the last three nights. Our trees were in the mid-stages of blooming, and now all the flowers are frozen and dead! Arg!!! I'll bet that was a beautiful sight, hope your weekend was great :)

Beautiful! Ive never seen the cherry blossoms in DC but we do have some great cherry blossoms in Newark NJ - its just...ummmm...not that much of a tourist attraction to come to Newark.

yeah, those cherry blossoms are a tricky bunch. They pick maybe one day to show off, and then wind or rain gets 'em. I lived there 7 years and only saw them at peak 2 times.

Beautiful. So many things bloomed here a few weeks back and now we've two straight weeks of winter-like temps. I'm so afraid of the effect its going to have on all the plants around here.
