Thirteen Pets Who've Owned My Heart
1. Tippy: She was my first cat, fluffy, grey & white...and also the first ghost I ever saw.
2. Cocoa:
She was my first dog. We got her from my piano teacher up the street...Cocoa's mother was apparently the whore of the neighborhood...each puppy looked like a male that lived nearby. She had 5 of them.
3. Jasiah: My first Siamese...she was amazing! Kind & gentle and smart as a whip; she loved to play fetch.
4. Boris & Karloff:
Technically, they weren't mine, but belonged the guy I was living with. Both german shephards, Boris was an exceptional dog. Karloff...she was a bit flaky. Yes, that's me in the picture...ROFLMAO!
5. Meow:
She was a Maine Coon Cat and LOVED spaghetti...see!!!
6. Bruno: My first dog ... which of course my parents ended up owning. He was a Doberman Pinscher, and that dog was BRILLIANT. He was owned by a Chinese couple and understood only Chinese when we first got him from the humane society. He LOVED to run and play and to have his picture taken. He lived a good long life, and I think of him often.
7. Toy:
My gorgeous tortoiseshell persian...she had orange eyes and was just the sweetest cat. Here she is with two kittens from her first litter.
8. Squeaky:
He was a grey cheek parrotlet...he was the funniest thing! I could tell him to "play dead" and he'd lay on his back in my hand and turn his head to the side, closing his eyes...but he'd open one real quick to see if I was looking, then close it again.
9. Abby:
My beautiful Abyssinian cat; these are her kittens. When my first ex and I broke up and I had to move to an apartment, I could only have one cat...and I chose Toy
10. Cameo:
She was a gorgeous cat, a long hair calico, but dang, she could be mean. Michael loved her (and Toy, too), tho! That's Michael's nephew, Jason, in the picture with Cameo.
11. Molly:
She was born in England and was a barn cat before she "moved" to the states with her military family. We agreed to watch her for friends, and fell in LOVE...couldn't let her go lol! She was destined to have a well traveled life, she came with us to Japan. She loved chocolate donuts and could be trusted outside; she'd come when I called her. She loved nothing better to lay in the sun all day! (that's Max with her)
12. Jasper:
I was innocently driving past a house at the end of my road one day when I saw a sign that said...Free Kittens. Hmmm...won't hurt to just look at them, will it? Nah...and just like that, Jasper came home with me. She was a gorgeous black & white half persian (an oops!) cat.
13. Chibi:
Ahhhhh, Chibi! I still miss that little divil! He was a miniature pinscher and just FULL of the devil! He was soo much fun; he and Wolf would play fight like crazy, even tho he was all of 12 pounds, he wouldn't back down. He lives on a farm in CT now...he was having aggression issues with Dad. Even Dad misses him tho LOL! That's Max in the picture with him.

Woof! Such cute pets - great idea for a TT list.
Chubi looks so cute, I really want a mini pin but I think Paul would be allergic, plus Wolfie would kill us he enjoys his only dog (spoiled) status
That's quite a varied cast of characters!
Ahhhh, what a great list... Boris and Karlof - what great names for two dogs!! :) I love your header... he's so yummy. :)
Happy Thursday
I had a Cocoa, but he was a tiny brown mutt-a-poo? a muddle? (his mother was a poodle his daddy could have been anyone) He is an epic character in any tale from my childhood.
Come and see Dorkbloggers!
They are all beautiful pets. It is amazing to know how we get so much attached to our own pets knowing they can't speak to us. This is what I call unconditional love.
My T13 is up too.
Wow that's a lot of animals in your life. My two hamsters and a parakeet seem rather insignifant now :)
Okay, this is hands down...the very best TT list I've ever read...I love these photos, these are really so muh more personal than so many other events or freinds in our life.
You are gorgeous what long red hair you have amazing!!! You look like the woman I am featuring today at my blog...a muse, poet and supermodel!
Have a great day!!!

I know it's about your pets, but I can't get past that picture of you! :) Don't we all love pictures of our past.
Of all things you posted about pets today.
It made me sad. Ill tell you later
I've been typing poetry written by my friend Alex who passed away. She was a huge animal lover and the poetry relects that. Very touchng. I hope some of these animals are still alive.
Aww you have really loved some beautiful animals! Thank you for sharing them. :D
(I love Squeaky. Play dead! How cute!!!)
I love animals......they touch our hearts in ways that some people cant!!!!!
If I could I would probably live on a farm with a bazillion animals!!!
Sounds like you've been very loved! Great TT!
How lucky you've been! What a group of sweehearts!
Looks like you've been blessed with some really awesome animals in your life.
About Squeaky: my sister has a sun conure that also plays dead. It's hysterical to watch birds do that :)
Happy TT!
Love the picture of number 7 - aww! That's a great picture of you! :=)
oh, i forgot, my cat Goku is a Maine Coon. I saw a ghost too - of my dog Patrick.
(mr. Linky hates me today. Wah)
Okay, that is a LOT of pets you've had. I've had ... five, not counting all the hamsters.
Happy TT!
you, an animal lover? nah. love the list, especially the pictures! i've gotten too lazy to do the T13 but i love coming to read yours!
Aww, what a great TT! I love birds; I had a bird who is just the cutest cutie ever. I love cats, too (have 4 of them!)
Hi Janet! That's a nice recounting of the pets in your life. However, of greater interest (to me) is that you are currently reading Joan Dideon. Have you read enough to have an impression. Dideon is one of my favorite writers.
Michele sent me,
Mike
Great list! I remember when you looked like that!
Wow....pretty cool back-in-the day picture......:-) Was that the "kinder, gentler" Janet?? LOL
Squee! What an awesome collection of lovable critters. :) (Boris and Karloff are great names for big dogs like that...and Chibi is just PERFECT for a mini-pup!)
What a great TT - I might have to steal this idea one of these days - I'd have to get some pic scanning done first :) -- did you guys get Chibi's name from Japanese? just wondering - happy TT!
I'm so digging that picture of you and the dogs! :)
What beautiful pets! Happy TT!
What a wonderful post! I love all of those pics
What a great list!
You know, now that I think about it, I don't think I've even had 13 pets.
