No work today, woohoo! Instead, I laid in bed til 10 am reading the latest Patricia Cornwell novel, Predator. Then I got up, showered, made a shopping list and met Lauren for lunch at Macaroni Grill...yum! Next stop, or would've been if I could've found a parking space, was Barnes & Noble. Gave up after a bit and headed to Border's where they had 10 books on sale for half off, and I bought Michael Crichton's latest, Next. Then I went back in search of the purse I saw at Marshall's on Saturday.
Oh, I didn't tell you about that! I went to see Pan's Labyrinth (awesome movie!) and got to the theater early, so I figured I'd browse Marshall's. Found a purse I really liked, then I noticed the loooooooooong checkout lines and knew I'd never make it to the movie. So I put the purse down and figured if it was there when I came back, I'd buy it. Well...it wasn't. So then I had the great Purse Search of 2007. Today I found it!
Now I'm making chicken soup from the roast chicken I made on Saturday:
Then I'm going to hopefully finish Predator, before 24 starts! Wish me luck!

So glad you found the purse! Your a purseacholic...lol! I thought I was bad!
It was nice seeing ya today!
I'm in the market for a new purse. I'm sure that is going to be an involved process!
Wasn't Pan's Labyrinth excellent? I thought of you when we went to see it this weekend.
I made almost the identical chicken for dinner tonight- and saved the rest for soup later this week too.
Sounds like you had a fantastic day off!
I like your new purse, cool lining!! I like the dangly things on it too, that seems very you. :)
I made a Wee meeeee
Sounds good. My day was a doctor day, and of course picking up after the puppies and playing with them. I can't believe it's nearly time for them to go.
must be something in the air, I bought a new bag on Saturday :) I'm looking forward to Pan's Labyrinth, looks like my kind of movie...don't know about you but I'm dreading going back to work...more holidays!!!! :)
hmmmmm....my day wasnt so enjoyable! I worked......go figure
i hope you enjoy "Next". I love his books. I found this one hard to keep up with (there were a LOT of characters) but once I got into it, I was hooked. (though I'll admit, I often had to go back and reread something so I'd know who he was talking about at the time)
Sounds like a perfect day..especially the "purse" part - you KNOW how I feel about that! Verrry cute!
All of your foods look so good! You're making me wanna go to a Marshall's. Great find!
We're caught up with the 24's now. OMG the suspense. Now gotta wait for another week...
Cute bag! And yummy - looking chicken...mmm...now I'm hungry. :)
I'll see if I can find a capture that shows the soul kites for you! They're pretty teeny, so I don't know how well they'll show up - but I'll try.
Love the colors on the purse!
I wish I'd known you were making chicken soup. I made some yesterday, too. The recipe is on my site if you ever want to make it again, LOL! Your roast chicken looks yummy!
I'm currently halfway through Next. OMG, your chicken soup fixin's look awesome. Am I invited for dinner?
Sounds like you had a wicked Presidents Day. Isn't Pan's labyrinth powerful? I loved it and was also so frightened and sad...at first it was like, okay there is her fantasty...but I think the magic of the movie is its not NOT for kids...and then adults find themselves craving for her imaginative world to BE REAL which of course...I BELIEVE it is...what a movie, what an incredible story.
Your day just sounds perfect. We lazed around, I had two weeks of digitally recorded programs to catch up on, Lost, Survivor, Top Design, Law and Order Crimianl Intent(did you know I have a huge crush on Vincent DOnifrio...apparently only when he plays Goren on this show)
Hey are you excited to see The Number 23? Here is a confession, I think Jim Carrey is HOT. Weird I know, but ever since Earth Girls aAre Easy...I've had some dirty dreams about him...
Just checking in with you
Cheers,
Candy
Sometimes I watch 24, too! It's great!
