Run away! Run away!

max running away
Do you see it? Just there in the black tunnel beneath the old trees? Max did...and he ran his little doggie butt off!

This is what I felt like yesterday and will probably feel like today, tomorrow and so on until [edited for content, i.e., can't talk about you know what here!]

In better news, the batch of Imps I ordered from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab was waiting for me when I got home from work. I tried Laudanum first; it's described as the essence of the most debauched hunger encapsulated into a perfume. Desire beyond love, anguish beyond sanity. Nutmeg, sassafras, black poppy and myrrh. All I know is WOW! I love it! It's smoky and incense-y and it was still going strong at 11 PM last night; I'd put it on about 730 PM.

I also got Les Infortunes de la Vertu (love the descriptions!): A pain-tinged, pleasure-soaked blend - leather, oakmoss, orange blossom, amber, and rose with a breath of virginal French florals and a hint of austere monastic penitential incense.; two of the Seven Deady Sins, Greed - Base and earthy, yet glittering with golden notes: patchouli, heliotrope, copal and oakmoss and Lust - Uncontrollable passion and insatiable sexual desire: red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh.

Two of the other ones I'd ordered didn't come in Imps (read the fine print, dummy) and so they sent me Verdandi: Deep herbs and apple with black amber (I can't wait to try this one!) and Calliope: Hers is the scent of creative inspiration, and it is a boon to writers, poets and arbitrators: lavender and bright mint with bergamot, verbena, thyme and a touch of sweet orange and warm almond. I think I should've put some of THAT on before I wrote this post :-) (this one I might give away...any takers? Hmmm...I'm sensing a contest here...any ideas for a contest?)

If I can ever tear myself away from Laudanum, I'll be sure to let you know how those others smell :-)

Yeah, what Colleen said. I can see there's *something* in the trees, but I can't tell what it is.

I love scents, and those sound perfectly magical.

That's a great picture! BTW, you still smell best with Snape!

How do you find these places, now I am going to have to find myself the perfect scent :)

I know a lot of people playing with BPAL. They're all on LJ though. ;) BPAL has some wonderful writers. Looove their descriptions.

I saw it (fox?) right away when I opened the post. I can relate to that feelng of wanting to run away!

I'm sure Calliope is a boon to writers- she's the Muse of elloquence. Sounds like some really terrific stuff you've got there. I'm going to check out the link later when I'm not supposed to be working.

Hey, that which cannot be said will get better and soon if I can do anything about it! Then you can give the big ol' middle finger to it all!

Nifty photo. Max looks like he's moving FAST, but he's just clear enough that you can see the "run, run" look on his face. :)

Excellent pic and the descriptions are priceless! But I must ask...what are "lmps" or is it "imps"?!

Posted by Vernicious Knids at October 3, 2006 11:16 AM

what is it?

Don't know what they are either, but the descriptions are both exotic and erotic. I think I need a cigarette

Hmm. Oddly enough I'm contemplating making my first purchase from BPAL myself! (Now that I have the capability.) So many choices, I don't know where to start! They all sound so...yummy!

Boon to writers, poets, and arbitrators, huh? I should get some of that one. ;)

(Poor Max! He looks so nervous. What IS that back there?)

Those perfumes sound delicious :) Hm, I don't know if I want to smell you or lick you, LOL!!! Wait..nevermind. :-P

Is that a fawn/deer back in the woods?

oooh, more scents. I love Snape. It's so sexy and musky and fabulous. You are so talented!

I should ask you to make a scent for the protagonist in my January release-- Victoria...that would be a really neat promo tool!
