A Monday Night Concert

BNL! Who doesn't like them? Ok...that would be me, back when they first appeared on the scene. I can remember Megan just loving them, but oh no not me...especially hated the song "If I Had A Million Dollars". Then....I saw them at Great Woods along with a bunch of other bands and was like...WHOA! They're GREAT! Funny and fun and man, can that Steve Page SING (and he shares a birthday with me)!

So anyway...guess who I saw in concert last night? LOL! Met my friend Mo up in Manchester NH last night, along with a friend of hers. We headed to Margarita's for some pre-concert noshing (man, it felt cold enough to snow last night!). Mo had an extra ticket, so I called a few friends and on the third call, struck pay dirt; my friend Diana, who I haven't seen in forever, joined us!

It was fun, especially the flailing guy in front of us who seemed to think he was at a Phish concert LOL!

I knew there was a reason I liked you -- BNL is my ALL-TIME favorite band -- in concert you can sing and laugh til you cry and each show I have seen has always been different. Wish I knew they were in the area :( -- been out of the news loop lately.

I love BNL! Great name for a band. And I have to admit that the Million Dollar song is one of my favorites of theirs. They have a great song in the movie Uncorked that I reviewed on my site today. Their music is so lyrically entertaining that I don't get tired of them.

The song and video was nice. It's cold down here; I can't imagine how cold it is up there... wah.

Who's BNL? Seriously, am I totally out of it (don't tell me if I am).

I can't figure out who it is.

Sounds fun! :) I like them, but haven't listened to anything of theirs in a while. I should change that.

I'm not a fan, but hey before I saw Matchbox twenty in concert, I didn't even like them either and now I'm hooked, so there maybe hope for me.

Glad you had fun though :)

BNL are cute, seems like it would be a fun concert to go to.

I used to love the Barenaked Ladies and went to quite a few of their concerts. But I've been out of touch the last couple years.

I saw one of them last week ... the guy who plays the standup bass coming out of Mountain Co-op Store. They are from Toronto, doncha know!

bnl is one of the best shows ever!

So that's where Adam was last night flailing like he was at a PHISH concert but really at the BNL concert! LOL couldn't pass up the reference.

Sounds like you had a blast - way to go!

Well, I wish I had known. It wasn't listed on your sidebar calendar. If I'da seen it there I would have made sure to meet up with you for some bloggy blogger flickr user love. As was, I ended up taking a flickr friend to the show with our 1 left over ticket.

I am a HUGE fan, if you've read me for a while you know, starting way back in the day with Gordon.

for people who think they're just a poppy schlock band, often times they're shocked when they go see them and in the end are blown away by their musicianship.

And steve page sure can sing the shit out of anything.

glad you were there. hope you saw my flickr pictures...
