- I've got a wedding to shoot this weekend in a building with practically no windows and the groom doesn't want me to use a flash. Wish me luck?
- Wolf's paw is bothering him; he's been licking it to the point it's bleeding...how much do you want to bet he wakes me up with a shiba scream tonight and then he gets to go to the vet tomorrow?
- Did anyone watch the new tv show Jericho? I thought it was a very interesting premise, and I really like Gerald McRaney! Damn, he's aged, tho...but haven't we all LOL!
- Today, someone I work with told me she's leaving. I knew it was coming, still I'm sad to see her go :-(
Speaking of work, when I got back from going to Trader Joe's this afternoon (licorice, cookies, raw almonds, Tofutti ice cream sandwiches, thanks to Heather & satay noodles) there was a yellow jacket in my office. One of the IT guys was walking by and I asked him to get the bee. This started a 3 Stooges routine of the funniest order!
He goes after it with...well, he's an IT guy! What do you think he went after it with?
A rolled up newspaper?
Bug spray?
A shoe?
No...air! Canned air, like you use to clean your keyboards. Can you say pissed off bee? Then he sprayed some of the air over where he thought the bee was, and it hit a dried rose I had on the wall. A petal flew off, and I SWEAR he jumped and screamed ROFLMAO! Ok...lol at least he wasn't too scared to try, which I was!
Finally the problem was solved by Super Deb and Brave Walt. In a combined show of strength, Deb lysoled it, got it to the carpet, Walt pointed out where it was on said carpet and Deb stepped on it, squishing it dead. Then she was going to pick it up with her bare fingers! GROSS!!!
I promptly asked Deb if she'd be my roommate so she should kill bugs for me. She laughed and asked me to stop kidnapping her Captain Jack Sparrow stuffed doll (from McDonald's y'all!). I like to look at it as Where In The World Is Captain Jack Sparrow?
Gotta leave you with a picture:

My friend Betsy's daughters, Nat & Aud, I call this one "Voila" (what else)

I hope you enjoy the cuties!!
Can you use one of those stick things for the wedding? A unipod - like a tripod just with one leg? Not sure if that would help or not though.
I love Aud best in the picture, she's got such a big thoughts are going through my head look!
Aw, poor Wolfie!!!
Have you tried putting Gold Bond Powder on it? Will dry it out and also keep him from licking it.
(And, yes, I read the rest of the post... It's just that only the dog stuff really sticks in my head. I'm like that!)
Good luck on the wedding pics. :-/
I hope Wolf doesn't have to go to the vet!
I watched Jericho. I thought it was pretty good. I almost didn't recognize Gerald McRaney.
For some reason the pic you posted doesn't want to load for me tonight. Pppffftt. I'll try again tomorrow.
Aw poor Wolfie.
I am secretly packing fritz's things to go to our neighbors, getting Greta's things together for the show and my stuff too.
I haven't felt this nervous in years!
Well since Fritz's dog show. (And then it wasn't so bad because Shubi was so ill and I was thinking more about her than I was about me.)
I hope Wolf feels better, without an expensive trip to the vet.
The bee story cracks me up. I'm allergic to those yellow jackets, so I would've been in another building while someone else tried to kill it. Although, I feel sorry for the bee that it had to suffer like that before its death. Lysol? Really? What happened to the rolled up newspaper technique? :)
luck! :)
Good luck with the wedding pics....Im sure you will do a great job!
I missed Jericho after waiting all summer to see it....ugh....
Poor Wolf...hope he's ok.
Ummm....Bees? And me? AHHHHHHHH!
But at least it didnt fly up your shorts and bite you.....just sayin.
Beautiful little girls!
I can totally see J doing that, jumping around... Luckily Ritesh was my bug killer! Good ol' Teshie...
I love the pose in the picture. Very cute.
Anyone worth his salt knows that some form of sticky aeresol spray is the only way to take down flying menaces.
Jericho looked interesting but I just can't bring myself to get hooked on episodic television. House is enough for me right now. I get more enjoyment out of watching TV on DVD at this point. I'm weird.
I missed Jericho, but I've always thought Gerald Mcraney was kinda hot. even in Deadwood... I have a strange attraction towards older men sometimes, though. someday I'll post my weirdest old actor crush. but everyone will really think I'm nuts, then.
NO FLASH? Yikes. Didja tell him he might want to actually -see- the people in the photos? Maybe you can take lots of outside shots. Good luck :)
I watched Jericho! First, I am a fan of Skeet Ulrich *drool* so I was gonna watch the show no matter the subject, but so far I'm diggin' it. I like the premise too, I'm definitely going to keep watching.
The Bee Torture sounds hilarious, and I love the photo.
Just wanted to say I like Jericho alot too!
