Random and Odd's 3 items:
1. Show your Support (everyone supports something right?)
2. Show me your sacrifice (everyone makes them right?)
3. Something red.
She also says, "It’s an easy one this week."
ha!
1. Show your Support:
I support Halloween!!! It's my favorite holiday, it's SO much fun, and I lurrrrve fun!
2. Show me your sacrifice:
I sacrificed my freedom to come and go as freely as I please to help take care of Dad. Don't get me wrong; he takes care of the dogs when I do go away, but more and more, I am not comfortable doing that. It's ok, tho, cause while I sacrificed some freedom, I gained some financial security (no rent or mortgage) and human companionship (ok, he drives me CRAZY, but still...it's nice to know there's someone else in the house).
3. Something red:
With a book, a beer and some sun, heaven on earth!

I LOVE Halloween! We used to have this HUGE party, complete with scavanger hunt that involved the 5 towns around us!!!! But then my sister moved in.....and we couldnt do it anymore *sobs*
I understand your sacrifice BELIEVE me....but its family and we love them....
My ass would never leave that chair....love it.
Your Dad is so lucky to have you, ya know. I think he knows it too. And your Mom rested easy knowing you would be there to take care of him.
Halloween? Not my favorite holiday. Thanksgiving is. But Halloween is okay.
Right now, sitting around in a chair is not so appealing...LOL
I have a feeling your blog photos are gonna be real interesting when halloween comes, LOL!
It's great you're taking care of your Dad. We'll all be that age someday, I'd hate to think of total strangers taking care of me.
That red chair is just begging for a margarita!
I'm right with you on the Halloween one! I can't wait! Only 2 months :)
That chair looks great!
Very admirable the way you take care of your dad. When I was in high school I sacrificed doing what most teens do because my grandma lived with us and she couldn't do much for herself, but I never ever felt like it was a burden. I loved her and even though sometimes I was upset that I wouldn't be able to go out all the time, I'd never go back and change anything if I could.
I played!
Nice chair!
I like that photo of your dad. I'm sure it is hard, but it most likely means the world to him. :)
Janet as always your shots are wonderful! Your sacrifice will not go unrewarded. You are a wonderful daughter! And I love the caption to your red chair! Sounds great!
Mine are up. Come visit. Happy Friday!
LOVE the chair :)
Love, love the red chair! Looks like pure nirvana. :-)
Nice shot of your dad. I'm sure it can be challenging but I think it's terrific that you are doing it.
BTW, I asked my son the name of Snape's mother and he knew right off. :-)
Happy SPF and I played too.
hehe
Halloween is my favorite holiday too!
happy spf!
I played :)
I too support Halloween. Up with jack-o-lanterns, amusingly terrible horror films, costumes, and bucketloads of candy! Down with...uh...
...er...
...oh, I know! "Autumn Festivals" they make kids celebrate in schools these days. It's Halloween, dammit, and it's not going to convert your kids into slavering demons, we swear. :)
I like Halloween, all the costumes are fun. I imagine it must be hard at times with you Dad, but I think you are so wonderful to do that for him.
I switched to your Jack skin - I like Snape, but you know how I feel about pirates!
Great pictures - I'm sure your dad is glad for your sacrifice.
I saw your vampire post below - did you ever watch Forever Knight? That was a great vampire show.
Oh, and I played too!
I love your SPF this week. Those chairs are one of my favorite things of summer (well fall and spring too). I think Jana says it best above when she says "I'm sure your dad is glad for your sacrifice." Sometimes as people get older they forget to show how much they appreciate things - you are great for your dad. ;)
My grandma lived with me and my mom my whole life. At times she would drive me crazy over the smallest things, and in the end there were so many times that we made sacrifices for her. We weren't always able to just pick up and go as we pleased, because we had to take care of her too. Now that she is gone, I would give anything to make those sacrifices again, and I really do miss the way she would nag me about those small things. I'd tell you to cherish the time, but I'm sure you already do.
