Instead, I'm going to share some pictures I've taken lately, if that's ok with y'all!

First up, a beautiful whale and her calf, courtesy of the artist Robert Wyland. This is painted on a building across from the Ferry Terminal in Portland, ME:

Next, we have a graceful toucan (oxymoron?) balancing a couple pints of Guinness. Smart bird! I'll have one, please!

I took this shot from the hotel room I stayed at up in Portland; what I wouldn't give to be able to curl up in that window, listening to the rain fall and working my way through Carl's challenge! Sigh...

Of course AMAZING shots. I love the colors in the Toucan! The wedding favors are so adorable I have also seen those used as small boutinierres on groomsmen with a little flower too. And of course my favorite the doggies!

That window area would indeed be a wonderful place to read year round. I love the vines growing up the side of the building. Vines growing on buildings always look cool...its too bad they are so destructive.

I'll take that other guiness by the way, just send the toucan my way after he drops off yours.

I loved Portland, ME. I only spent like a day there, but it was lovely. I especially liked the "toy" store we discovered. Have you ever tried chocolate body powder? Applied with a feather? ;)

Oh yes, I would love be in that window, listening to the rain.
