Here's last Wednesday's picture:
And what it was cropped from:
Michele: "I think maybe a moth? But really, I've no idea." answered it correctly, but indecisively; Amy suspiciously said: "I am going to go with the close up of a moth or butterfly...", while Michelle (with two Ls) said emphatically: "It is the close up of the furry *shudders* wing of a moth"
As for this week...

what is it?

Barnacles!
Rats...Michele got to it first. I mean it's barnacles...not rats.
BWHAHAHAHA
Pam
Yep, I have NO IDEA. Not gonna get this one right. It looks like little beaked aliens hatching. :)
But that's not why I'm here. Nope. I'm here to share this (disheartening) article with you about Ms. J.K. Rowling, evil woman that she is. ;)

Though I'm hoping the Leaky Cauldron has the inside scoop. :)
its an invasion of body snatchers.
Apparently I have to get up earlier to beat Michele (with one L) to the punch. Since barnacles has already been guessed. I will guess that it is .... "icky looking close up!"
They look like barnacles, but...there's something plantlike that has this look too. I wish I could remember what it was. Stupid lessons with national park rangers, being so long ago I can't remember them...they were cool though. :)
Barnacles! Yuck.
Barnicles
it's an extreme closeup of the pimply forehead of the teenage boy down the street. they have creams for that, maybe someone should tell him.
and again, WARN ME when you're posting pictures of those horrid flying things! =)
Those are beaks of some sort of weird alien creatures as they hatch. I know I got this one right. I've seen these before on Labyrinth or Dark Crystal or in my neighbors back yard or somewhere, I'm sure of it!
I agree it looks like barnicles. Also it looks like flowers emerging from buds. really the first thing I thought of was crab eyes.
It looks like creatures being hatched in a star wars movie, but I think it's really barnacles. I'm getting so old a few have started to grow on me!
Ok... barnacles... :( I don't even know what that means... I think they look like alien bones...
They are barnicles!!
Its an invasion of the offsprings of that plant from Little Shop of Horrors! Right? Feeeeeed me Seymore!
