Friday: Met up with Megan an hour and 20 minutes after I said I'd meet her, thanks Eileen, hope YOU had fun at the mall while I was being effing yelled at. Oh, well, whatever, such is life. Megan and I hit Wellington Station (where Megan saw a bumper sticker that said Real Men Love Jesus, but when she said it out loud, I thought she said Real Men Love Cheeses ROFLMAO!) to take the T in town...but there was something going on up the tracks, so we waited there quite awhile. Finally got in and ended up near a bunch of sketchy folks (weird loud lady, Capt. Ahab & beyond goth boy); wish I'd had my camera (or not LOL). We got to the North End, finally, and wandered about, it was absolutely gorgeous out! Walked past Assiago, where Meg needed to pick up her sweater she'd forgotten when she'd had dinner there last week, and decided to kill two birds with one stone (pick up the sweater and see if they could seat us for dinner). They had one table left! Dinner was great, and afterward we stopped at Mike's Pastry for a box full of cookies and nother of canolis and had coffee at a typical little Italian cafe. It was 11 by the time we got back on the T and headed home LOL! [sorry no pics, the battery in my camera died!]
Saturday: Got up, puttered around, took pictures, drove to work to get my camera, stopped at Dunkin's, had lunch, watched some tivo'd shows. Met Michelle at Grendel's and had a great time talking, then we strolled the square, bought some books...and took some pictures LOL!
candy and holy water
Sunday: Woke up from a sound sleep due to a SPLITTING headache. Wolf was disappointed HE wasn't the one to wake me up, as he normally does. Went out to breakfast with Dad, and when we got back I tried to sleep for a bit, but no luck, so decided to go to the movies with Megan, Jim & Tara. We saw Little Miss Sunshine, and it was fantastic! Go see this movie!!! The Air Force general I worked for in Japan was in the movie, for a brief second...that was kinda cool :-) We had pizza for lunch, ME would've loved it, wicked thin crust. After they dropped me off I went shopping and made dinner for Dad, edited more pictures, enjoyed a brief thunder storm and finally went to bed.
friends and pizza
How was your weekend?
Comments
hey, that sounds like a fun weekend... I think I've been to Mike's pastry shop before :)
That's my idea of a good weekend, friends, film, fun and pizza!
And I copied your scallops recipe, sounds easy and delish. I didnt know you were a foodie photographer. If you're not, then that's your next calling. LOL!
My weekend wasn't too interesting, studying for an exam I don't think I even did well on ;)
Ron and I saw Little Miss Sunshine last weekend. We really enjoyed it too!!! Eash one of the characters were great!
You always have such action packed, fun weekends!!!!
Glad you enjoyed!!!
We went to the Ren Faire and had a bar-b-que/Birthday Party for Dad....with much drinking and eating....as always!
I've heard lots of good things about LMS...maybe when it comes out on disc...love the pictures...I wonder if putting, say, bourbon in a flask with Jesus on it, makes it stronger or weaker? sounds like a great weekend!
Well, real men do love cheeses. Real women, too. ;)
I spent my weekend with my mom. She came up for a visit, and we had a nice time.
I can't believe you remembered I love cheeses! I'll have to dig up the photos from that night!
Wallace would love a Real Men Love Cheeses bumper sticker...that would be perfect!
Glad to hear that Little Miss Sunshine is good as it looked like a film that had potential.
Might need one of those holy water flasks the next time I go vampire hunting.
Hummm nice sounding weekend. I'd like to see Little Miss Sunshine!
And I see "up next" includes Bill Clinton's "My Life". I want the audio version....so I can listen to and from work travel! Here from Michele
...are those seriously supposed to be hip flasks of holy water? 'Cause if they are that's about the most awesome (or awesomely tacky, or both!) thing ever. :) I'm with Carl, it's a vampire hunting double whammy!
Great idea! Jesus Christ flask! No security guard at a concert in their "right mind" would dare take it away from ya!
Million dollar patent in the works!
I'm all about those flasks! Awesome.
"Megan saw a bumper sticker that said Real Men Love Jesus, but when she said it out loud, I thought she said Real Men Love Cheeses ROFLMAO!"
In my opinion, real men love BOTH! lol ounds like a fun weekend! Mine was mostly blah, because husband worked all through it. I knitted. Woo.
