Thirteen Answers to 13 Questions
**NOTE**
As you can see, I have the 13 answers up, but keep the questions coming! I'll answer them next week and the week after, if necessary!

1. MamaDuck wants to know: "When will my little guy sleep all night long???" My answer, and lord knows I have SO much experience with kids...NOT! is: "Probably about the time his hormones start ragin' ;-)" [I really meant for people to ask questions about me, but hey...this is fun!]

2. Smoochdog asks: "Why are there so many more photos of Wolf on your blog and in flickr than of Max? Don't you love him just the same?" Well, Smooch, I must admit...I'm a bit obsessed with Wolf. Not sure why...but it's like when you fall in love. There's really no explaining it! However, I do love Max, too. I mean...I feed him the same food, take him to his vet appointments AND he gets to run off leash in the woods...hell, he even sleeps with me in the bed!

3. Michele's question is: "Who are the kids on MB's blog? Kidding! (Although, really, I've no idea.) What is your favorite season and why? Ok, Michele, well those kids are the grandchildren of her neighbor up the hill! To answer the next question: My favorite season is autumn, for so many reasons! The weather, the smell in the air, the foliage, I love being able to wear sweaters again, it means Halloween & Thanksgiving & Christmas will be here soon, altho this year, those holidays will be mighty tough.

4. rusvw asks: What was your favorite photo shoot, and why? Currently, it would be Baby Charlotte. She's so photogenic and I just love babies!
who, me?
Isn't she adorable??!

5. Next up: "If Alan Rickman changed his hairstyle as Snape, would he be as forboding looking? Maybe a mullet, perhaps? What's the best hairstyle for him?, from none other than Lisa, aka Snarkypants (and, as you can tell from the question, she is VERY snarky!). My answer is as follows: Alan Rickman should NEVER change his hairstyle, it's canon Snape at his most perfect! A mullet? Heresey! He has the best hairstyle...altho just for kicks I'd like to see him dye it blond and tie it back, ala Lucius (aka Lucious) Malfoy. Mmmmm....

6. From Yellowrose: "I know you are a Harry Potter fan, obviously, so who do you think dies in the next book?" Definitely Voldemort! The other one...I think might be Harry...altho, these ARE supposed to be kids books and that's really really pretty dark. I mean, I'D cry at that! No marriage to Ginny? No little Potters running about? I hope it's Wormtail...that slimy git deserves it even more than Voldemort!

7. "Why do we have to grow older?" asks Kailani. Damn good question! Growing older, to a point, isn't such a bad thing. We learn by our experiences and become better and more interesting people. Once you start really aging, tho, say in your 70s and 80s, the body just starts to noticeably break down, and that's no fun, no fun at all. I heard a good concept today when Krista shared with me the trailer for the movie, Fountain. The supposition there is our souls are trapped in our bodies and want to get out and be free...interesting, eh? Good question, Kailani!

8. Tink wants to know "Who is your favourite LOTR character?". Ohhhh, Tink...did you know my blog used to be called "fondofelves"? I love me some Legolas!!! So clean and shiny and GOOD! A close second would be Eomer; he's wild and beautiful. For humor, I'd pick the two-some of Merry & Pippin, for sure, and let's not even talk about Billy Boyd's wicked awesome Scottish accent! Oooooh! Now...that's from the movie, tho. From the book, my favourite character was always Bilbo Baggins. Fell in love with that character in The Hobbit (first read it when I was 14), and in LOTR, I was all...who is this Frodo? I want more of Bilbo!

9. Carmen wants to know "Who would you pick, if given the choice of fantasy boyfriend? Alan Rickman or Johnny Depp?" Why, it would have to be Johnny Depp, wouldn't it, given that I really like Alan Rickman's character of Snape more than the actor himself...altho...that voice! Could I have Rickman's voice in the tattooed glory that is Depp? And of course, neither could smoke anymore ;-)

10. rampantbicycle poses an interesting question: "If you could go and live in the world of any book, what would it be? (Bonus points if you actually have a new character in mind for yourself to BE in that book, but you have to tell us what it is! :))" I, of course, would be Bilbo Baggins, happily enscounced in Bag End, smoking my pipe weed, drinking my tea and wine and having adventures :-) Thanks, I liked that question!

11. Krista asks, "If you could choose a time in your life to go back to, what time would that me?" That's a really tough question!!! I've learned so much from my experiences, but of everything, I can narrow it down to this: When I lived in Japan, because I LOVED it there so much! I'm all about seeing, learning & doing new things and it seemed like every day was filled with that. Can I edit SFSSDMF out of that, tho, and exchange him with Calvin? That'd be great, thanks :-)

12. Karen wants to know a bit about my neck of the woods: "What's the best thing about living near Boston? My husband and I want to visit there one day..." There are so many interesting things about Boston and I love to show it off! Judging from the name of your blog, I'd start off with taking you to the Old North Church, where a long ago relative of mine has a pew in his name (it is the Old North Church, right Mel & MB?). There are so many historical churches in the area! The Park Street Church in downtown Boston is absolutely gorgeous and has lovely services. Next, you'd have to check out Fanuiel Hall, cause it's got so many typically Boston-y things going on. Then over to the North End for some yummy Italian food. You'd have to work off that with a stroll along the Charles River and then maybe check out the Fenway, with or without a Red Sox game going on, it's an interesting area! Then there're the places outside Boston, like Newburyport, Salem, oh, I could go on and on! If anyone from around here would like to add to this list, please feel free to do so in comments!

13. Finally, from Amy: "why can't i marry johnny depp??????" Dude, duh, cause he's MINE? Hello???

I have asked someone else this question on a similar meme before, but I really like it, so:

If you could go and live in the world of any book, what would it be? (Bonus points if you actually have a new character in mind for yourself to BE in that book, but you have to tell us what it is! :))

If you could change one thing about yourself, be it a physical attribute or personality trait, what would it be and why?

Posted by Megan at July 27, 2006 9:43 AM

you & your clean & shiny guys- give me Aragorn!!
I think I could handle Alan Rickman, the guy, too. Have you seen Love Actually? it IS the voice, isn't it...

lmao, your claim on Mr. Depp is duly noted!

Posted by Kestrel at July 27, 2006 10:03 AM

I had to treat myself first to your blog today since it's my b*day!! Always such a treat! Loving it! I'd love to visit Ma. some day. Master P, my instructor for Tai Chi, is originally from there; he talks with the Boston accent all the time! I love it!

Posted by Ocean at July 27, 2006 11:26 AM

I'm remembering the cobblestoned lamplight streets of Beacon hill and the ferry ride to Hull!

Question: Do you like men in long hair or short hair? (I think I know so I'll ask one I don't too)

What would you say to Jonny Depp if you were introduced to him?

Posted by colleen at July 27, 2006 12:08 PM

Janet couldn't we just share Johnny Depp? :)

Posted by Yo Tambien Te Mando Besos at July 27, 2006 12:15 PM

Fun! I didn't post a 13 today - I didn't even realize it was Thursday LOL

I'll ask - what digital cameras do you own and which is your fave?

I didn't this Q&A thing a while back (not for 13) but didn't get a lot of good questions LOL

Posted by tnchick at July 27, 2006 12:22 PM

Great idea for a Thursday Thirteen.
You've inspired me.
My TT is up.
Have a great weekend,
Frances

Posted by Frances at July 27, 2006 12:22 PM

I did this Q&A - not didn't. Oops.

One more Q - how come, even tho I check "remember me", this thing won't remember my name, email, URL? I'm lazy LOL

Posted by tnchick at July 27, 2006 12:23 PM

This really was a fantastic idea, Janet. My TT are up now!

Ooh, fun Q&A! :)

And I agree, Beantown rocks. Lots 'o fun things to do...don't forget about the Swan Boats! That's nice and cheap, too.

Posted by Cindi at July 27, 2006 4:13 PM

Clever list! I hope Harry doesn't die! He deserves to be happy, with Ginny, and live a great life!!! Voldemort MUST die.

Posted by Lady Jane at July 27, 2006 5:23 PM

I want to know......how's the tooth???..............:-)

Posted by racerx at July 27, 2006 6:13 PM

What a great idea for a Thursday 13!

#4...That baby is too adorable! Look at all that hair :)
#5...Snape with a mullet...um...NO! It looks bad enough on Wormtail as it is.
#6...I have a bad feeling that Mr.or Mrs.Weasley is done for.
#8...There are so many interesting characters in LOTR, but my fave has always been Samwise Gamgee.

Posted by Julie at July 27, 2006 8:27 PM

I'll go with #4 - I love babies, and she is beautiful!

My TT is up.

Posted by Barb at July 28, 2006 2:01 AM

I thought I was alone in this world! Glad to discover I'm not the only one who gets a little shivery at the sound of Alan Rickman's voice, especially as Snape. After the first movie, my friends and I were grabbing some snacks and I asked who else thought Snape was strangely hot and they all just looked at me. Oops. ^_~ My TT is up!

Posted by Shari at July 28, 2006 4:05 AM

Yep, it's the Old North Church. Ron and I were there last fall and the pew with the name Captain Timothy Daniell is still there. ( of course you knew Tim was named for him?) We spoke to the women who was working there and she was so excited to meet someone who was related to one of the pew owners. It is just so neat to sit there and think our relative sat there. You should go and take a picture.

Posted by Mel at July 28, 2006 7:50 AM

Like the list, and share your adoration of Legolas. Anyone who can skate down the side of castle, mid-battle, while shooting an arrow from his bow stands high on my list.

Posted by Buttercup at July 28, 2006 2:34 PM

Sounds like there might be a little fist-a-cuffs over Johnny Depp. But he's mine. All mine. After all I recorded every episode of 24 Jumpstreet. On VHS. And I still have them. [Although I don't always admit it.] ;)
