July Contest Entry

TNChick is having a contest, #4, altho it's the first one I've entered. She says:

Take pictures of the items listed below:

* Your National Flag - (where ever you are or are from)
* Fire Engine(s) - Must be a real engine, not a toy
* Something red, white AND blue in ONE photo.
* Fireworks (firework store, in air, sparklers, anything fireworks)
OR
* BBQing (food on the grill)

Upload the photos on your blog with a post titled "July Contest Entry" and link the post in her comments. Easy!

1. My National Flag:

Our old next door neighbor hung this flag from his tree after 9/11/01. I love the way it seems to glow.

2. Fire engine:
VA Beach fire engine1 Taken in Norfolk, VA at the hotel I stayed in...someone burnt a piece of toast or something at 730 AM LOL! The engine is from VA Beach.

3. Something red, white AND blue:

Taken on a weekend trip to NYC last October. I like to call this photo "Doom" LOL!

4. Fireworks:

Fireworks at this year's Norfolk, VA Harborfest

I love the photo of Doom! hehe That's pretty neat. Your firework photos are great, too. The burtn toast likely make some firemen not so happy. LOL That flag does have a glow, eh?

Excellent fireworks pics...people have no idea how hard it can be to shoot those correctly!

This looks like a fun contest! I am always hesitant to enter these since I do this for a living, but I just might:-)

I will have an awesome flag post on the 4th of July!

Thanks for coming by my site for SPF...you asked what kind of camera I used and so I will tell you...I shoot with two Nikon D100s and I have a D70 as a backup...now my lenses are even better:-)
