Isn't life interesting? I was talking to a friend of mine today; she lives with her elderly Mom and was happy that her mom was going to visit another daughter this weekend. She was happy to have a weekend alone.

I was happy I was going to Jamestown NY this weekend to see some friends.

But things change.

My friend's Mom decided to not go visit her other daughter, and my friend was a bit bummed out, cause she really could use some alone time.

My Dad got sick at the senior center this morning and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. After an EKG, bloodwork & xrays, it's been determined he has gastroenteritis, which for you and me would most likely be no problem. Unfortunately, with infants, young children and the elderly, it can be a serious problem if they don't rehydrate enough. So he's in the hospital for a couple days, and I'm staying home...alone.

Funny how those things work out.

i hope your dad's feeling better soon... at least they can pump him up with fluids and keep an eye on him at the hospital. but how scary to have to be taken in an ambulance (though it is a fun ride in the back). well, if you want some company let me know... and if you want to come do some yard work absolutely let me know! =)

I hope your Dad feels better and soon. That dehydration stuff if nothing pleasant at all.

I know this is tough. If you want to bring the dogs and come up, come ahead. We're sitting around eating fresh summer squash all weekend!

I call Janet for brunch on Sunday at the least! You won't be alone all weekend my dear you're just stuck with the local yokels!
