Thirteen Things I'm looking forward to this summer
(the list is up early for the US, but it's Thursday SOMEWHERE in the world, right?)
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - July 7th! Mmmm...more Depp gazing :-)
2. I'm going to see a BUNCH of concerts: Dr. John, Leon Russell, The Pretenders, John Fogerty, the Dropkick Murphys, and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals
3. Going to see MaryEllen this weekend; unfortunately, it has to be in VA...gak (not that there's anything wrong with VA...there's just alot of not so good memories there for me)
4. I'm taking engagement pictures for a friend, totally looking forward to that! Imagine, actually loving what you do for a living...I wish this was my living!
5. Strawberries, fresh off the vine and still warm from the sun
6. Going to see Menopause The Musical, been wanting to see that!
7. I get to see my friend Art again; as he lives on the other side of the country, this is a rare thing!
8. My friends are taking me out for dinner for my birthday at a place TBD (maybe it'll be on my list of places I want to go!)
9. Hopefully, my garden will yield some tomatoes, jalapenos and cilantro and I'll have nice fresh salsa; also, lots of basil for pesto!
10. Warm nights
11. Road trips to VT & NY
12. The sounds and smells at the beach
13. Hiking at Halibut State Park

YAY for the Pirates movie! Ya know, at work we received a huge stand-up of Pirate Depp to use as a display and the female employees keep stealing it from the kids section (I work at Borders) just to irk the kids associate. We all tell him we're taking Johnny home with us! tee hee.

Janet, can you believe that Leon Russell played in our little town of Floyd! Are the Pretenders still around?! The last time I saw Chrissie Hynde was in a cameo on the TV show Friends.
