I have to use a shedding blade on him, a regular brush just won't work! Poor guy is so itchy and hot with all that hair, he LOVES when it all comes off!

We've had several dogs over the years who have the double coat with that fluffy, clingy undercoat and I'm always amazed at just how much fur comes off them at certain times of the year! I just wish they liked being brushed. No matter how early I've started them or consistent I've tried to be, none of mine have ever liked being brushed except the ones that don't really need it! :-D

The second one on the top is my favorite! I'm sure he wasn't at all amused with having to pose with the hair on his head like that. So undignified!

My BASSETT HOUND sheds that much. really. it may be short, but never ending. my favorite: when I am sweeping the floor, & can hear her scratching in the next room. someone told me they've done that shedx treatment & it works for about 3 weeks. I may try it when I'm back to having spending money.

Wow! That's alot of hair! Our doggie is getting his summer buzz this week and I'm sure he can't wait. He doesn't enjoy the experience but he always is so bouncy afterwards that you know he enjoys the way he feels when its all done!

Smokey sheds like crazy. I think he's part Akita? if that's right. Giz sheds a lot but not like that. Wolf doesn't look all that amused...lol!
