That there would be a bellybutton. And judging by the particular nastiness of it and its close proximity to that stick I would have to conclude that you have captured a portrait of the illusive sasquatch, doing a very poor job of hiding behind a very small tree. I assume that your fright at witnessing him caused you to move the camera as you were snapping the photo thus procuring the shot of the bellybutton in question.
Wow that's a hard one! I have no idea, it does look like something organic though. I was thinking maybe some kind of fruit, but... or a snout of a pig?

I really have no idea but I like the other guesses of a pig nose! I have no clue though, it does look nasty when you first see it though!

that is obviously the ear-hole of an african elephant. you normally can't see it because of the floppiness of the outer ear.
Janet: That is soooo freakin' disgusting. I think I just vomited in my mouth. It looks way too dirty and hairy to be a belly button, so I'm gonna go along with the thinking that it's the snout of an animal. I just can't look at it any longer. Yuck!
That is truly disturbing. It kinda looks like something out of Alien, with that *thing* growing out of the hole. I'm going with the cow nostril, but OMG what is that *thing* growing out of it's nose?

A pig nose? From that farm we stopped at where you also took the photo of the stranger man holding flowers (stranger as in we did not know him not stranger as in very odd).

I have to say it is really gross looking. I'd have to say a pig nose, but then again it could be the other end of the pig too. LOL!
It's just plain real ugly. Other than that I have no Idea. I was thinking Belly button but it may be too big for that........
