Toinght I received a phone call from someone I used to work with in Japan. She was a high ranking Air Force officer and she and I did NOT get along at all...like oil and water.

She said she'd thought of me often over the past 10 years and it really troubled her that we didn't get along. I said that you know, sometimes people just don't see eye to eye and she said that she never had a problem getting along with anyone before and that she felt badly at the way she'd treated me.

It was a slightly surreal conversation, to say the least. Anyway, we had a long talk and it was nice. She wants to stay in contact and I think that's fantastic.

lol....seriously....its nice...sometimes people have a revelation about things and want to fix things in their lives that down sit right with them.......

Thinking, "My Name is Earl"... Maybe she is thinking that she just hasn't been a nice person to many people during her life and is trying to make it right. I think it is great that she reached out.

That's really terrific! Its nice when good things like that happen. I hope it was the beginning of a healing relationship that continues on!

That is great! Isn't it always amazing when the good surreal moments happens. Makes you wonder what kind of forces there are out there. What a great thing to happen!

the first thing that came into my mind was a 12 step thing... or that she sat and watched a full season of Earl. or maybe she was just cleaning out a desk, saw something with your name on it and decided to act on her thoughts over the past years.
