Thirteen Things that have really stuck in my mind about the last thirteen years in my life

1. 2006: My friend's husband died and I didn't get a chance to properly thank him for a wonderful weekend I spent with my friend (his wife) courtesy of him in Washington DC

2. 2005: Mom passed away

3. 2004: Tulum Ruins in Cozumel/met some new friends, most of whom are still part of my life

4. 2003: Visited Scotland/Fell in love with Paris on a trip in November/started blogging

5. 2002: LOTR

6. 2001: a weekend in VA in June/Septh 11th/Wolf/met Aislinn/Discovered Harry Potter while staying at a friend's relatives NYC apartment (the one time I forget to bring a book with me...I look on their shelves and see the 4th Harry Potter book and thought...awww, that's a kid's book...I'll just browse through a few pages, see what all the hoopla's about...got halfway through it by the time the weekend was over and went straight to Barnes & Noble to buy all 4 when I got home.

7. 2000: Decided to try to get pregnant; boyfriend backed out at the very last possible minute, after many injections, etc.

8. 1999: Cherry Blossoms in DC/Calvin/Janet at computer.jpg/Chibi

9. 1998: Made some new friends, some of whom are still in my life today.

10. 1997: Max!/Met E/Discovered chatting/Moved back to B'rica

11. 1996: Things I can't even talk about...um...Harpoon Larry's, Rt64W, the ocean, moved back to MA. 'nuff said.

12. 1995: Visited Sapporo/Moved to VA from Japan/Met & fell in love with Calvin

13. 1994: Separated from my ex-husband while I lived in Japan

If I've forgotten anyone, I apologize; if I've mixed up years...well, it's early in the morning and I should be asleep!

Hello, Michele sent me!
I like the Thursday 13. I'm not sure I could remember milestones from that far back, but if I do it, I'll be sure to let you know!

HOLY MOLY!!! Your hair was SOOOOO long!!!!

at the end of each year, you could have mentioned "Oh yeah, and had the love and friendship of my favorite cousin!" LOL Of course we know, that is something that could be said for every year of your life, right? (well after I was born anyway!)

That was pretty neat. I did it too.

That's a great way to sort through memories! I had a hard time sleeping last night too... drinking loads of caffeine right now. Is that a picture of you? Pretty hair! :)

That picture of you makes me think of that song, "Low Rider."

Low ri-der... ;)

My 13 is up!

Good idea for a TT!

Sounds like you've had a roller coaster 13 years. I'm sorry for your sadness. And thank God for friends! :-)

BTW, LOVE your TT banner! Very cheery.

Mine are up.

Great list! You sure have lived a lot of places!

Happy Thursday!
Mine are up.

Same comment as above- Long hair there!!

Love that 2002 is memorable for LOTR. When I found out there were making a movie of it I was SO excited!!!

That's a really unique and interesting idea for a TT. I think I'll have to try it some day, but I don't know if I'll be as good at remembering each year as you were :)

LOTR was awesome. First read them around '92.

My TT is up at greenr, which focuses on making energy, community, and personal life greener and better for both us and the planet we all share.
