I'm not thrilled with either of these pictures (there's another one over in flickr if you click on this one) but I'm still learning! Had to take these on the fly, too, stopped at a red light and I was nervous about blocking traffic LOL! (me, nervous, it happens!)

The picture is beautiful....
If you ever block traffic like that in NJ....they will run you over !
I like it. I imagine it would be difficult to get a pix of the sky and trees where you were without having to include the streelight and stoplight. The sky is absolutely beautiful.
Hi Janet, It looks pretty good to me! I guess it was even better in person? I had a google image up with my post today but took it down because I wasn't happy with it.
I've just come from michele's.
I really like the contrast between what's below the clouds and what's above. Nice.
Pretty! Ok, that's it. I'm buying a polarizer ;)
Well, I have to agree, the framing is excellent, as is the composition, and, for a quick snap, you've really captured the feel of the moment, never mind the wonderful shafts of light emerging behind the clouds.
I like it for a quick shot it is very good. Don't you just hate those light poles? Its seems like things like that are always in the way.
Cool Picture! your too critical of yourself ;)
I think the picture is beautiful. I'm learning too on a new camera and am usually really nervous messing around with traffic. Especially in morning rush hour...grrr
Ok here';s my take on your new toy :
That's a fabulous photo! You're improving already from that first shot. Have you seen the links to the canon website that gives tutorials? It's really good. I use them all the time. Do you like the lens you got?
I see you really doing good with flowers and this camera. Ok, I'm going to send you over a link from one of the other photobloggers on how to make a softbox - it's inexpensive and it will get you doing some indoor shooting. I'm going to make one myself - and I think it will be good for things like flowers and other stuff.
More sunsets! And more frost pics. That one on flickr is incredible!
