I seem to have become violently allergic to noise recently.
Saturday: Took the dogs to the beach, nice quiet day right? Nah. There was a group of gas-powered model plane enthusiats there...and do you know how LOUD those things are? Very loud.
Sunday: Relatively peaceful, especially since I blew out the speakers to the tv (apparently, an unwrapped speaker wire touching a metal 7 outlet power guard surge protector is not a good thing).
Monday: Our receptionist was out, so I had to answer the phones all day long. Ring, ring ring ring. So what do I do AFTER work? Go see a movie about...you guessed it...a freak who prank calls some screamy-meemy whiny-ass teenage girl all night long. Hep me...
Tuesday: Tree stump grinder shows up at 7:30 am and commences work. OMFG!!! The receptionist is here today but has one of the worst cases of laringitis I've ever heard (and this girl LOVES to talk!). Altho I've told her I'll answer the phones today, I'm stressing about her trying to answer the phones (which she has a few times), as the president of the company is traveling today. You watch. When he calls in, some combination of crap will happen (Murphy's law, y'all), she'll grab the phone before I can get to it, he'll freak when she does and it'll be all my fault somehow, someway.
And I feel that if ONE MORE PERSON asks me a question to which I do NOT have an answer (and that's happening all too often lately) I will completely, totally & utterly lose it!
I really REALLY need that motherf#*king vacation RIGHT NOW!!!

yeah....umm...good luck with that...
....backing away from the computer slowly...
Sounds like Monday has carried right over into Tuesday!
I heard from family that When a Stranger Calls was horrible and I was disappointed to see how well it did over the weekend. It made all its budget back and then some over the weekend.
so, ahhh, really, Janet, how are you doing? *ducks*
Yeah, the noise thing bothers me all the time. I actually bought myself ear plugs. And I use them a lot!
vacation?? come to Jersey Girl!
Oh my. I know how you feel. I was just telling my husband that after one of our Brownie meetings wrap up (like today for example), I'd like to not be around children for the next few hours. That's hard to do since we have 3 that live here. I too feel that I am allergic to lous noises - esp. once I am already annoyed. Is there medication? Oh, yeah. Wine ;-)
