Last week, one of the women I work with told me that the local Starbucks featured work by local artists on their walls. She was telling me this because she thought I should take one or two of my framed photos and see if the folks at Starbucks might be interested. If you know the least little thing about me, you know I'd never in a million years do that...so she took one over herself!
The manager was interested and said he'd call me. I figured, sure he's just telling her that, being nice, you know.
I was out Saturday night and my cell phone rang...an unfamiliar number with a familiar area code. I excused myself from the bachelorette party and took the call. It was the manager of Starbucks, telling me he'd like to feature my picture on the wall. I was so excited!!! Then he said something about the wall needing to be filled...and I said, wait, you mean you want just my pictures on the wall? He said, yes, we can fit about 12 or so. OMGOMGOMG!
So, for the month of April, 12 or more of my photos will be hanging on the wall of the local Starbucks. Can you believe it??! I can't!
The worst part of this is the woman who started it all is in DC this week and unreachable...so I can't tell her the good news, which is kind of why I waited to tell all of you. But I can't wait anymore!
