Is it a full moon tonight? Wolf woke me up at 1 in the morning (see the time?) cause he had to "go"; I'd much rather be woken up then to clean up a mess, so it's all good. Couldn't fall asleep so I decided to check out bloglines. My reward came from a couple of posts over at the Leaky Cauldron; the first mentions a Forbes article, listing the top fifteen wealthiest fictional characters. Apparently, it pays to be bad:

Then I clicked on another interesting piece of news; Isetan, a department store in Japan, is featuring some Harry Potter items for sale, from November 29 - December 9th. Do I have any readers in Japan who'd like to send me the robe ornament? Perhaps one of the owls? Or...is that a card ... of the Dark Arts classroom, there in the middle?

Not to state the obvious, but I would assume you could get all of these international items that your little heart desires via the good old internet!

Want to avoid shipping? Your local comic shop gets a monthly catalog called Previews from which you can pick stuff that they will order in for you. You pay the listed price. There is an 'international' section in Previews that features this type of stuff from Japan, etc. Might be a good place to check for interesting gift ideas. Previews solicits things 2 months ahead of time, however so you wouldn't be able to use this for Christmas gifts.
