The one about tv

- That was the LAMEST season of 24. OMG! That ending was so incredibly STUPID:

Jack: professes his love; Audrey: eyes fluttering in sleep. Jack: professing his DEEP love; Audrey: eyes still fluttering in sleep. Jack: still professing his love; Audrey: eyes still fluttering in sleep. Blech!

- I haven't seen Heroes yet...so don't mention anything!
- I still love My Name is Earl - it's like living the 70s all over again!
- Kat's gone from Miami Ink? Damn!
- Does anyone else think Gil Grissom (with the beard) from CSI looks a bit like the ghost in The Ghost & Mrs. Muir?
- Lost continues to make a strong come back...I'm looking forward to the season ender!!!
- Supernatural: The season ender to that was nothing short of amazing! Wonder what'll happen to Dean next year? Damn! (literally hehehe)

Thoughts on the tv show 24

Was it just me, or when Jack Bauer got all bandaged up last night, didn't it look like he was wearing a strapless prom dress? He even had little b@@bies!

This season...sheeeeeeeesh! The music is so damn annoying and invasive. Stop it!

I do like the VP, tho, he makes a bad ass bad guy!

And his assistant is so familiar...OH! I just went and looked her up, she was the wife of the Sheriff on Invasion!

RIP Audrey!

Heroes

For those of you that watch Heroes, did anyone notice the license plate on the car that Hiro's father got into? I nearly DIED laughing!!!

Project 365 and other stuff

Project 365: One photo a day...for a year! I started on 1/17/07...so far so good...which is saying alot for this commitment phobe!

In other news, today started out good...and then I got hit over the head. Not literally, but you know, figuratively hurts just as much.

On the bright side, I get to help plan a shower! That's always fun :-)

And two more bunchs of BPAL Imps were waiting for me when I got home Sunday night!

Snippets from the weekend...
Are you KIDDING me???! Heroes is back tonight...but on at the SAME TIME as 24! That's just not fair, man, not fair at all.

Grrrrr...

Michelle, I'll be watching 24, and tivoing Heroes, so feel free to IM me when you get excited!

Who said IT guys aren't observant? I got new glasses yesterday and wore them to a Pampered Chef party at a friend's house. No one mentioned the new glasses...and yes, I'm aware that it might be because they didn't like them...but I don't see them every day like I do the guys in IT...still...we KNOW guys aren't all that observant...

I get to work this morning, one of the IT guys pokes his head in my office to ask about moving my computer to the new office.

Him: new glasses?
me: yup
him: nice, I like 'em. So when do you want your computer moved?

LOL!

Boneheaded thing I did this weekend: Well, I did a few, but this one takes the cake. I'm walking around the mall after dropping my car off for a LONG overdue oil change (MB tell Jack to stop laughing). A friend calls on my cell phone...but I can't hear her. So I try to hang up...can't...and end up powering off the phone. Turn it back on, call her back...can't hear her. So I'm freaking out, thinking my phone is broken. I text her and tell her sorry I can't hear her and take my phone to the Verizon store in the mall.

Anyone want to guess what happened? Hmmm...I think I'll LET you guess, and whoever guesses correctly...or with the funniest answer, will win a BPAL Imp when they finally arrive!

Have at it!

What else...Friday I looked at getting a new phone; I BADLY want the Blackberry Pearl. My contract with Verizon is up in September...so I guess I'll wait...if I can manage it.

Saturday Megan & Lauren helped me move into my new office...and move all the rest of the crap I had accumulated over the 10 years here into my storage facility. Thanks, girls! That night my friend Diane & I saw the movie Notes On A Scandal; it made me sad, but it was a damn good movie. Judi Dench & Cate Blanchett (and Bill Nighy, for that matter) were awesome! We saw the movie in Framingham, and it was so crowded we had to park across the street...it was also DAMN cold, and my lungs were frozen and aching when we finally made it inside. Finally gave Diane her Christmas gift!

Sunday I exchanged Christmas gifts with my friend Mo, and we had breakfast at the Owl Diner...yummy! Was wandering around Target later that day and saw some pretty gift cards. I thought...hmmm...those are SO cute, who can I buy one...for...OMG! Zoot had given me the gift of extending my Pro account at Flickr for Christmas. I was going to purchase a frame from Target for her, but we talked about it and I was going to send her a Target gift card instead of mailing the frame...IN December ... for Christmas ... Zoot, expect some mail REAL soon! I am SO sorry, my brain just isn't functioning!!!

I HATE when someone in this office effing crunches lifesavers...STOPIT! Like fingernails on a chalkboard, it is.

Finally...a pic from last Friday morning...

bunny prints
I love looking at pawprints in freshly fallen snow! These were going across my driveway into the neighbor's yard...it's fun to see what's out there, you know?

I wasn't quite so thrilled with the two hour season premiere of 24...but tonight's 2 hour episode. Three words: Oh. My. God.

Don't click on the link if you don't want to read what happens...here be spoilers!

NaBloPoMo #9: hhhmmmmm
I'm going to talk politics...run away!!! But come back, cause then I'm gonna talk about Lost!

When I got home from work Tuesday night, there were two empty beer bottles on the kitchen table (my precious Yuengling!!!). Now...neither Wolf nor Max has the ability to open a beer without breaking the bottle, so I figured it had to be Dad.

I said hi, walking into the living room...and he looked like his best friend had died. "Dad!", I said, "What's wrong?" His reply? "I'm watching the news, and it's not good...not good at all." You see, Dad's a Republican.

Fast forward to Wednesday night. Rinse, lather, repeat (minus empty bottles of MY damn Yuengling). He's convinced that with liberals in high places bad things will happen. I asked, "Dad...did any bad things happen with Republicans in office?" His answer? Silence. Stubborn bastid ;-)

Normally, my Dad and I are alot alike...but in this instance the apple fell far, far, FAR from the tree :-)

You Are 0% Republican
If you have anything in common with the Republican party, it's by sheer chance. You're a staunch liberal, and nothing is going to change that!
How Republican Are You?

I'm scared by people who answered even ONE thing positively in that test. *shivers*

You Are 48% Democrat
You aren't a full fledged Democrat yet, but it's likely the party that fits you best. You probably consider yourself an independent Democrat. You usually support the party, but you also think for yourself!
How Democrat Are You?

Ok, done with politics. What did you think of Lost last night? How STUPID are the others that they didn't know Jack would do what he did? Damn, Sawyer and Monica Kate are hot! He's just such an adorable badass!!! Look north? What did THAT mean? And what WAS the story Jack told Kate when they first met?

Off to walk the dog; Thursday Thirteen is below!

Such A Night

Mac Rebennack, more commonly known as Dr. John, The Night Tripper and his band, the Lower 9-11 (pronounced "nine, eleven"), features guitarist Reynard Poch, bassist David Barard, and drummer Herman "Roscoe" Ernest III and their swamp pop/blues/gospel/jazz/R & B/funk sound played at Boarding House Park in Lowell Thursday night. They were awesome, as usual! A few pictures:

The band

DJ7
In this picture, he was talking about Hurricane Katrina, and the damage it did, and how New Orleans still wasn't back to its "normal" self, that in fact it was looking like a third world country.

DJ8
Caught his eye...

This weekend I got to see the rest of Spike Lee's 4 part documentary, When The Levees Break. All I have to say is shame, shame on the government for trying to take the land away from those people in the 9th Ward. Shame on the insurance companies that won't reimburse them for their losses. Shame on the people who said they'd searced all the houses and they didn't, so that when folks came back home they found dead loved ones inside. Shame on folks who've lived where they wanted to live all their lives, who say, "Well, those people should be happy they were evacuated and have a nice place to stay now."

Shame.

Lost makes a bit more sense now

Now THAT was a season finale!

Sawyer, ripping his shirt off and diving into the water to swim to the sail boat...YUM!

But wait, there's more...don't read if you haven't seen it!

Lost

ooooh, Hurley's gonna be PISSED when he finds out Michael shot his chick!

New tv shows

Did anyone watch the new tv show, "Sons & Daughters" last night? I was shocked and surprised to see Max Gail; most of you won't know him, unless you watched Barney Miller. He's aged (haven't we all), and it looks good on him. Dee Wallace (among other things, she played the mom in the movie Cujo) played his wife; they're well matched.

The show is interesting; my favorite character was the 13 yr old daughter with braces, glasses and attitude to spare. She overheard her parents talking about not having sex and says to her mom: " No offense, mom, but I'd rather kill myself then be in a relationship where sex isn't the number one thing." (altho how a 13 year old can determine that is a bit strange). The brother in Kiss makeup? Hmmm...weird.

And dang it, I missed The Unit (hehehe) last night; it's President Palmer's Dennis Haysbert's new show; mmmm, he's such good eye candy! Anyone see that? Was it good, bad, indifferent?
