Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
This new day is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the yesterdays. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I saw this quote recently, over here, and I want to post it somewhere were I will see it every day.
... love it!
"All people are born alike - except Republicans and Democrats."
- Groucho Marx
Saw this quote over at Christine's blog while I was checking out the Thursday Thirteens:
"Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then, with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away."
-George Eliot
I long to be that kind of a friend, and to have friends like that, as well. This quote will be tucked away, safe somewhere, to always remember...and you, my friends, I hope you do the same :-)
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
~Audrey Hepburn
I saw that quote yesterday over on Carl's blog; and I brought it up last night with my hairdresser. She said, it's all well and good, but you can't be in a relationship by yourself. True...but I still like the quote :-)
A friend of mine emailed me this quote today and I absolutely LOVE it:
"I live in the present. I only remember the past, and anticipate the future. I love to live."
- Henry David Thoreau
