I am so sorry if I haven't stopped by to see your Friday or Saturday photo challenges, it's been a busy weekend! I do plan on catching up tonight, tho!
I headed up to Portland, Maine Saturday afternoon to meet Mo; she kindly agreed to help me shoot a wedding Sunday afternoon over on Peake's Island.
We hit Portland running, caught our breath while a fierce storm raged outside, then walked down to the piers for dinner, where I had some delicious lobster stew, yum! Afterward, we walked around downtown Portland where we saw a gorgeous transvestite, a cute guitar player and tons o' tourists.
I also saw these cool things called Jibbitz that you can put in the holes in your Crocs to decorate them! Here's what I did with mine:

Doesn't it make you want to get a pair of Crocs?
That evening, back in the hotel, our room had a wall of windows, so we slept with the floor to ceiling curtains open, better to see the stars :-)
Sunday we got up, went to a local legend, Becky's, for breakfast, and then browsed the stores, where I bought a pair of Reef platform flip flops, which, yes, I did wear to the wedding (my dressy black pants were long enough to mostly hide the fact) and a ME sticker for ME's (MaryEllen) new car :-)
Then we caught the ferry over to Peake's Island and got ready for the wedding.
Here are some shots from the island:

Aren't the table decorations gorgeous?
That was my weekend, how was yours?
Found this over at MissMeliss, who found it somewhere else :-)
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.
Consider it a short writing exercise, just something to waste a few minutes of time, if you like.
I'm back as Fond of Snape; welcome! Please feel free to add me to your bloglines or blogrolling as this is my permanent new home! Many, many thanks to Megan for getting me up and running again! I couldn't have done it without her :)
